Hi everyone. We're at POR right now but for our first two nights we stayed off-site at AmeriSuites. We got it through Priceline when everyone was trying to get the All Star for $36. Remember that? Well, I got AmeriSuites and I wanted to let anyone who might have done the same thing and ended up with AmeriSuites.....DON'T WORRY. It's quite nice. Especially for $36. The only negative thing I can say is the bed isn't so nice. In fact, I could feel the springs. I certainly wouldn't want to stay there for my entire vacation but for a night or two it's fine. The rooms are spacious and very clean. It's literally 5 minutes to most of the Disney Parks. The area is decent in that it's not in all the gobbidy-gook on 192. The staff was very nice and helpful. They even have free minature golf.

Let me know if you have specific questions.

Pam, what restaurants are there or nearby? I think we will get there right about dinner time and might just enjoy the pool there, instead of trying to go to one of the parks.

Thanks for the review. We were originally going to head down to FL when my dh finished work the evening we have booked at Amerisuites, but he got a comp day and is taking the day off. Perhaps we'll get a chance to try the pools and mini-golf. Knowing my dh, we'll check in and head to the parks though....LOL.

Oh, yes, I'd also be interested in what restaurants are nearby...Thanks!
