Well I'm finally able to sit down and give a report of my Disney World trip that took place 12/18-12/23.
I want to first thank all of you who gave much needed and very helpful information for my trip, thank you for the kindness
My trip was priceless b/c it was the first time in a LOOONNNGGG TIME that I was able to take a trip with my mom and brother. Me and my daughter have made it a family tradition to go to disney every year, so we were turning into old pro's. I'm already planning for 2003's trip:rolleyes
However, the beginning of my trip started off very crappy. So if anyone has any advice please feel free to write. It started off with my flight. I flew ATA an airlines that I have never flown before but they had great rates for a family of my size, so I decided to give them a try. To shorten my story, we had a total of a 4 hour delay and damaged luggage (which the airline has informed me they don't reimburse for b/c my damage came from torn zipper handles, and that's something they don't reimburse for b/c it could have got caught on anything) YEAH RIGHT!!! TO ME DAMAGE IS DAMAGE, the luggage is useless to me b/c I have to find something to pry my luggage open. I got reimbursed for the delay but barely $50 voucher only b/c they combined my layover delay with my final destination delay. But all-in-all , I was on vacation with my mother and was determined to make her vacation one to remember!!!! I determined to have a good time.
So on to the good time!!!! We ended up losing a day b/c of the delays. But we were able to eat at Chef Mickey's (which was my first time) and I LOVED IT!!!! It definately put a smile on my face once again. And to see my family having a good time was enough to bring tears to my eyes.
Everyone kept writing to make sure that i try to parmesean potatoes and they were great!!!
My brother's birthday was the next day and he got to be an extra in the Indiana Jones production......a once in a life time moment. My mom was so excited she filmed his entire hollywood production on the camcorder, but I think she missed the show itself. LOL He spent the entire day feeling like a celebrity
My daughter got a chance to interact with the characters during the Tapestry of Nations parade.....i never miss a chance to see that.
Okay the Japanese restaurant was entertaining, but you all forgot to tell me about the never-ending stairs that you have to climbed to get to the front door "whew" I was wondering if they had take out and I could eat it on the bottom steps
yikes. Next time I'll remember to bring the hiking equipment.
It's a Bugs Life always gets a thumbs up with me....and needless to say I wish I could have recorded my brothers reactions...now that was extremely priceless and I have the sore arm to prove it...he gripped the life out of it. My mother sat on the other side of my daughter and I heard her screaming and laughing too.
Boy I can't wait until Christmas again for the next trip...but I always get the yearning to do it again before xmas....hey you never know...
Oh one last thing...the cast members were once again in rare form and really went out of their way to make our stay a welcomed one....but for some reason the crowds were somewhat rude and uncourteous. During past visits the crowds were somewhat pleasant, but this last trip the feeling in the air was stale.
Thank you for listening
