Ok, since this is the budget board, perhaps you experienced DIS'er can give me some feed back.

This is what my price breakdown is:

3nights/4 days at ASMO resorts, including 2 day park hopper plus, magic your way passes (i.e. admission to disney quest) for $732

Plus a 3-day disney wonder cruise, with deluxe inside stateroom for $1441.26, including ground transportation to/from wdw and port canaveral, as well as transportation around wdw and all the amenities

I also got 2 nights/3 days at an off-site hotel and 3 day park hopper passes to Universal Orlando for an additional $425

The DS and I have never flown and feel safer going greyhound to Florida for $300 roundtrip. We are taking the Orlando Lynx system from the Greyhound station in Kissimmee for $2.50. It will take us to disney property from there.

The total cost of a 9-day vacation,in the middle of August (not including spending money) is $2979.

I am taking $300 cash for spending money.

What do you think? Can I get a better price or discounts from somewhere?

I don't know the age of your DS, but I looked at the Greyhound schedule from KC, MO to Orl, FL for August 6/16 for one adult and one child 5-11. The price comes to $472 without discounts. Also, you are looking at approximately 30 hours each way, with 2 or 3 changes of bus. In other words you will proably get to WDW exhausted, tired and irritable. Also, if you get off Greyhound at the Kissimme terminal you will probably have to go to the Lynx Central Terminal in downtown Orlando to change buses to get to WDW. These are City buses and you will not have any luggage storage area.

Even though you have never flown, statistically you are actually safer flying than taking a bus. I would strongly suggest rethinking your transportation.

Also, for two people for your total length of stay you would be more likely to need about $700 to cover food and souveniers.
