Price of trainers

Any one just back.What are the prices like in the factory outlet shops ie nike reebok etc.Are they still cheap with the dollar rate good at the moment?

In july I bought a pair of Skechers trainers from the Skechers shop in Premium outlets. These are around £55.00 over here and I paid $49.95 for mine (Around £33/£34) Quite a good saving I thought and, as they are made for the American market nobody else will have them.

Another great bargain were Levis jeans. $55 for 2 pairs - this works out at £20 each!!

Generally the best bargains are those of american companies. (Levis, Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger etc) There is a definate diference in price of these over imported goods from European companies.

In january my partner and myself bought two pairs of reeboks for $25 from lbv outlet, bargain!. cant wait till febuary as they are now getting a little worn.

Yes weve just returned. Prices are roughly dollars/pounds as usual, although a lot were a lot cheaper. We bought DS2 football bookts (Nike) for $19. Timberland are doing their classic boots (in all colours and styles) for $49.99 - buy one get one free, about £16 a pair! We paid £60 for my eldests here at Bluewater!

Yes, the Timberland store doing that offer was in the Orlando Premium Outlets, which is right on the southern end of I-Drive, behind the Caribe Royale Hotel, past Seaworld.

Hope they still do this offer (of course it was buy one PAIR get another free!!, and they could be any colour, any size too!)

Reebok were also doing 'Buy one, get 2nd PAIR half price, or buy two, get 3rd pair free' and Levi's were doing 'Buy one, get 2nd pair jeans half price' too. That was also at the Premium Outlets.

Just found the Web site for the Orlando Premium Outlet HERE The really great news...for my DW anyway....is that they are having a Labor day sale, which we can get to on Monday Still, better to let her get it out of her system early on in the holiday

It looks as if the offers that were mentioned still stand. So I will be hitting the Timberland shop. I always buy a pair of deck shoes. They are so damn expensive in the UK (like most things I suppose)

As a general rule of thumb, things cost the same in Dollars (or less, especially at the outlets) as they do in Sterling, for example, something costing £50 over here will be around $50 over there.

However, there are sometimes exceptions to the rule with the odd thing being more expensive, so if you've something particular in mind you want to buy, do your homework before you leave so you know the current UK prices to compare.

Actually...no matter what time of year I've been, there has usually been some sort of sale and special offers on, LOL - those people know that we Brit's are itching to shop and so it's competitive out there. I think I've always seen the buy 1 get 2nd half price at Reebok.
