I was just looking at the prices here on the dis for breakfast and CRT appears to only be $3 more for adults and $5 more for children than Princess dining in Norway...can anyone that has been recently confirm this? Why then would CRT require 2 TS credits and princess dining 1 TS credit? Plus they both get a picture included in package. Are these prices current? Am I missing something? :confused3

I can't answer your question, but I've decided that we're doing Akershus for breakfast because of this. I'm sure it being 2 TS credits is because it's in the castle! Plus I hear the princess interaction and food is better at Akershus. I've also heard that lunch is better than breakfast at CRT.

Prices for CRT:Adults $47.23
Children 3-9 $31.05
Price includes tax and gratuity

Prices for Princesses:Prices $28.99 for adults and $17.99 for children
These were the prices last year when we went. Needles to say we went with the Princesses.

I have eaten at both and the food is definitely better at Akerhaus. The only upside to CRT is that you are eating in the CASTLE! and that you are guaranteed to see Cinderella. She is not always at Akerhaus. I think the castle is something I would do once, just to do it, but we will eat at Akerhaus every time we go to Disney.

We've done both and prefer Norway! The food is better and the princess interaction is better

the price difference is closer to $6 now but these things change so I'm not certain - other than CRT is going to be a bit more expensive. The $47 adult price listed above, I believe, includes tax and gratuity which are charged automatically when you make your ADR (unless you note your reservation with the DDP attached). Some sites include both since they are automatic for CRT and some don't. I just wish they note if the quoted price has the added costs.

You don't appear to be on the DDP but CRT is two credits and Askerhus one. The two credits for CRT include gratuity.

CRT requires 2 TS because it's in the castle - that's what makes it signature. People will and do pay gladly to eat in the castle. And you must be looking at online menus that haven't been updated in one or both cases, because I do believe the price difference is more than that.

say is that my lunch in June was about six dollars more than the lunch price shown on this site for Askerhus for 11/09. It's possible that Askerhus and CRT have gone up since then.

The allears price quoted above obviously includes tax and gratuity since the breakfast price quoted for CRT is only a few dollars less than what I paid full up for lunch.

Just wanted to add, in case it is not clear, is that tip is included in the cost charged at CRT when using the dining plan but not at Askerhouse.

That is exactly how we feel about it. We ate in the castle for breakfast during our December trip and I was not impressed by it at all. The only thing I did like was actually being in the castle and looking out into Fantasyland (had a table near a window). This was a been there done that sort of deal, now Akershus is a different story, it has become our tradition to get an ADR before the park opens.....the food and character interaction is 10 times better than over at CRT. Another reason we like Akershus over CRT is because Akershus is a lot cheaper than CRT.

We much prefer Akershus for breakfast. The food at CRT isn't bad, but the food at Akershus is much better. I love the buffet and then the preplated breakfast. We have found that the character interaction is quite good at Akershus.
