We will be at DL in early October when my girls will be 3 and 6. They are both looking forward to dressing up in Princess costumes - but seeing as we only have one (and it's looking a bit old from DD1 wearing it so much) I want to get them some new ones. But I don't know whether to buy them here before we go or buy them at DL. Can anyone tell me how much they cost at the park?? Thanks.

We paid $60 I believe for Cinderella and $50 for Minnie Mouse. I waited because I expected the DLR dresses to be "special"- and it is beautiful, and certainly a better quality than the typical Halloween costume, but next time I would scope out the Disney store near us for a dress. On the other hand, it was very special to buy it there in the midst of all the magic, we bought Cinderella's dress just after meeting her and her telling my daughter they looked like twins.

Also, try Ebay. Do a search for the "deluxe" Disney Store costumes -- whichever princess costume you are looking for (the ones that are more elaborate and more expensive at the Disney store). I think the deluxe Disney store costumes are similar to the ones found in the park. If it isn't around Halloween time, you can usually get a great deal on Ebay. Just make sure it is really the deluxe version -- sometimes they use that term and use the cheaper ones. :bride: princess:

Most of our princess dresses came from the Disney Store. I have got some great deals there after Halloween before.

But, we did buy an Ariel Wedding Dress there this last summer. It was more expensive, I want to say, maybe $65? It's so much fun for them to dress up! If you look in my signature, the picture with Mickey, my dd is wearing the Ariel Wedding Dress.

I didn't let my dd dress up last year. But she wants to so bad this time. She has been a Princess every year for Halloween so 2 still fit her. (She is tall and I always have to buy bigger) She is so excited!

I'm impressed with the dress selection and style at the littledressupshop.com website. They have free shipping and the dresses are around $26 so we can pick up one or two for a resonable price. The dress bodices are stretchy material so Savanna can just pull it on and off over her head since she's at the age where she likes to dress herself.

Also, the Disney Outlet store in Fullerton carried them the last time I was there but styles and sizes are iffy.
