Price of breakfast at Crystal Palace?!

I was just quoted a price of $26.62 for adults and $14.90 for kids for the character breakfast at Crystal Palace! :scared: Is that correct???

I'm panicking because the ADR I was booking when I was told this involves a large group, and I am SURE many of them won't be happy to hear that price. None of the info I've looked up has shown this price; the Disney site just says breakfast is in the "$$" price range, $15-$36, and allears.net says $18.99 for adults, $10.99 for children. That's the info I showed everybody when I asked if they wanted to do it. Eep! :scared:

I'm hoping maybe the CM on the phone accidentally quoted me the dinner price. Can anyone confirm? If it makes any difference, the date of the ADR is March 28, primo spring break time -- but do they raise the prices for dining then, too?

It'll be hard to get an exact quote at the moment since the Crystal Palace is currently closed. However, the trend is that all character breakfast buffets tend to be the same price.

I think that price may be correct as the 28th would probably be considered part of the two weeks surrounding Easter. Typically Disney increases prices of certain restaurants during certain peak times. The restaurants are mostly buffet/all you can eat type restaurants. I haven't read anything specifically about the date you mention, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I just made an ADR for 3/25 for breakfast and everywhere I went the prices said it was $18.99/A and $10.99/C....now if there is a special Holiday pricing I am sorry I cannot help you on that. Note, we did have a dinner ADR for the same date and changed it to the breakfast because of the price difference.

I am betting you are being hit with holiday pricing...it's always several dollars more per person on buffets around the big holidays. Sorry!

Sounds like holiday pricing to me too. We were hit with holiday pricing there too last May 31st. It went into effect at Memorial Day and was thru the end of July by what a CM told me when making the ADR. We went OOP since we were on the QSDP and with tip and all it ended up around $100 for the 4 of us to eat. It was a great experience though since it was princess:DD's 5th birthday.

That sounds right for holiday pricing. The price of the buffet is $24.99 and the $26.62 is the price including tax. If it helps your group you could tell them that the price is $24.99, because technically the price would have been $20.23 if the price you quoted of $18.99 had held. ;)

(I do feel your pain , we're about to go on a family trip that I've organized and it's been a last minute panic adventure for the past week since everyone finally realized that they're going on vacation in 2 weeks)

Thanks so much for all the help (and commiseration). We've been struggling with spring break pricing for everything related to this trip -- and, of course, my BIL and SIL who are planning the trip picked these dates because it's my nephew's spring break!

I'm glad I'll be able to provide a reason as to why the price is higher, although I have a feeling my little family will end up eating alone. I think I want to do the breakfast regardless, since it's the ONE thing I particularly wanted to do for my daughter's first Disney trip. I'm hoping she'll be brave and let me take her picture with Eeyore -- she did great with Santa Claus, so my fingers are crossed!
