Hi all,

I've never used PriceLine to book for more than 2 adults as it's usually just my hubby and me.

Has anybody ever had issues with travelling with larger groups, we are getting 2 rooms what will have 2 adults each, one with 2 kids and one with 1 kid.

I am concerned if I use priceline that we will end up with 2 king rooms LOL that would not make us happy campers!

Please let me know your experiences.

We have always gotten 2 doubles and if not we just ask for it at check in.

We used priceline one year to get a room at the SEA Hilton for a night before flying out to Orlando. We are always 3 as we have our DS. You take a chance with priceline as you can't select what kind of room you want. I just called the hotel after my bid was accepted and asked for the type of room I wanted and that's what we got. If the hotel is not busy, it should not be a problem. This is the reason I don't use it often though. 3 people is always an issue as a lot of hotels only have doubles, not queens.
You can book multiple rooms with priceline, but once again no guarantees what you'll get.
You probably have already seen it but http://biddingfortravel.com/ has some good info.
:)

From what I read if you have more then 2 people you are better off to go with hotwire. That's what we used and we will find out 2 weeks this coming Friday if it worked for our family of 4 or not!

I have used PL many many times and generally we are 3 or 4 people.
You are not guaranteed anything as far as bed configurations, though you can call the Hotel that accepts your bid and put in a request. It's a crap shoot..but we have always been lucky:confused3

As others have posted, contacting the hotel will almost always get the bed configuration you need. The only time I found this not to be the case was when booking for my daughter and 2 friends in Paris and they would not provide 2 double beds.
