im looking forward to going..
im not sure how they run it..is it just luck on getting picked or is there any specifics to know??

My DH and I went in August (2004). We bought the tickets at home before we left. We had front row seats. It was so much fun. The way they were picking people when we went was along the lines of the "fastest finger". They would show an item on a screen and tell you what year they were looking for the price and pop up 3 or 4 answers and the 4 fastest people who were correct got picked. They would picke 4 new people for each round. The games on the stage were just like the ones on t.v. (the ones I remember were "hole in one or two", then the one where you have to price each item).

Oh, and everyone in the audience gets a name tag (just like on the real show). And at the end the MC and the Ladies were signing autographs. When we were there the MC was a guy from a soap opera - sorry I can't remember which one, but he was easy on the eyes!).

I hope you have a Happy Birthday!

Thanks mama--i didnt know it aws a fastest finger type thing--does it make more sense to guess?? Im excited because i grew up watching price is right!! thanks!

We went a few months ago and it wasn't al all like the fastest finger. Here's the low down of how it was when we were there.

Before the show we were asked to go to a seperate room. There we were shown separately a picture of an item (our family each were shown such things as a 1974 pontiac grand prix, a 19 something boat, an old popcorn machine, etc) on a computer screen. You then gave the person what you thought the price was (of course without going over). THey then ptinted you a card with the picture of your item and your bid. You then went to another table to get your name tag.
After that was done you went to the show. We had front row seats. It was allot of fun. The way they picked the contestents was by your earlier bids on those items that you had on your card. They picked 4 new contestents each round. If you didn't make it to the stage you received what looked like a black nylon bag bag from the Casino and then were asked to go back to your seat.

The prizes on the stage were kind of cheesey but the whole show was allot of fun. We had a blast. I would do it again.
Have fun.
Good Luck......and I hope you get to....
"COME ON DOWN".................................

Wow. I can't believe they changed how contestants get picked. We were there when it first opened. Its probably better that they do it beforehand now - it did take up some time when everyone had to guess during the show.

thanks so much guys--if i, by some lucky chance, win something, i will have to come back and tell you guys!

How much does it cost to go to this show? And what were some of the prizes won?

Thanks!
tricia.

Tricia--im not exactly sure about the tickets as its a present, but i believe they were around 20.00.....cant tell ya about the prizes yet, but if no one replies on here, ill let you know after Thursday

Oh man, that show in the casinos is so much fun. My DH was actually a crew member when it was here in Reno and the production company asked him to go along with the show when it went to Kansas City. He said it was one of the most exciting shows he has ever worked. They had 3 different MC for the show here. One was Jeff Trachta of the Bold and the Beautiful. One was Todd Newton from Press your Luck on GSN, and the last host was Chris Harrison from the Bachelor.

I only was allowed to go to a trial run of the show because of my DH on the crew but you should have a great time. Todd Newton is the host in Atlantic City. He is a sweetheart and a real professional.

Enjoy and :bday:

Thanks guys--you all are really getting me excited about this...im telling u, we need a meet to go do this show now hahah
