Price increases this year?

Chapek says the crowd this Summer was a "win". Hmmmm...

Would agree (as far as a “win” for Disney goes) considering they reported increased revenue with the lower attendance.

Price increase wise I wouldn’t take anything off the table until we see Rise of the Resistance in play. (And after the star studded tv special they’ve put together airs on free form to show it off.)

If Team Disney Anaheim can get ROTR to run for more than an hour without breaking down, maybe it will be.

Well, today was the first Sunday since May that So Cal/So Cal Select level passholders could visit the parks, AND it is the first weekend of Halloweentime.

And it was largely dead most of the day. Nothing had long lines. Some rides with posted waits of 10-30 minutes were only that long because of reduced ride capacity (Big Thunder, Autopia, Matterhorn all running one side only, the DL RR only had ONE train on the track, etc). The longest we waited was about 25 min for Autopia because they only had ONE lane open. We walked onto almost every other ride. There are STILL RSR fastpasses available as of 4pm.

It seems to me like Disney may have lost a significant number of AP holders.

Domestic Parks did not report increased revenue; they decreased.
I do agree we'll have to see how the launch of ROTR goes and they will have to restart the marketing machine almost from scratch this Winter. But, put me in the no ticket price increase "this year" camp. Hotel rack rates have already quietly decreased.

"Parks, Experiences and Products revenues for the quarter increased 7% to $6.6 billion and segment operating income increased 4% to $1.7 billion. Operating income growth for the quarter was due to increases at our consumer products businesses and Disneyland Paris, partially offset by a decrease at our domestic parks and resorts. "

Did they decrease from $750 to $300? 'Cause that's what I'm hoping for! 😜

Disney went on a gouge-fest on everything associated with Disneyland, Anaheim CA. Raised prices on just about everything, cut back on things (portion size of foods, quality/type of foods), entertainment, hours, decorations, you name it, snip, snip. Man.y people do not think the value is there. I hope the suits take a step back, listen to the consumer. Add days back to the Deluxe pass, Bring back foods people enjoyed, bring back the live entertainment, bring better perks to APs. Bring Disneyland exclusive stuff. Quit with the Disney Parks name on everything. Put Disneyland or Disney California Adventure on items. I know that is what I search for. I refuse to purchase something that says, Disney Parks. Then, you will see the $$$$ come rolling back in. You know Disney, the APs at Disneyland are your bread and butter.

Send in this comment and CC to Josh D'Amaro, Bob Chapek, and Bob Iger! Be very specific about how all these cuts have affected your guest experience in the parks, your guest spending (!), and your AP experience and spending (!!). Management needs to know that the money is out there, but it won't be spent indiscriminately.

The only part I will disagree with is that there is a lack of things that say Disneyland on them. There is not. Not at all. EVERYTHING says Disneyland on it. It's almost too much.

The rest, yeah, agree 100%. The most obvious is the increase in food and ticket prices. I haven't seen portions get smaller, but prices have definitely gone up quite significantly. I paid $25 for 3 slices of pepperoni pizza today and that was AFTER the AP 15% discount. A year ago, those slices were $6.99 each.

Yes, I will again. Even though we are out of state, (AZ) we do visit a few times and we do spend. We let our passes expire and got Knotts passes instead.
