Price Increase at Cape May Buffet Dinner

We recently returned from our trip to the World and ate dinner at Cape May. When we received the bill the price went up quite alot. It is now 34.99. Does anyone know when this occurred. We were there in Oct and it was still 27 or 28 a person. This was not the holiday price increase, since we were there Jan 7. Did we get overcharged?

The menu here on the DIS has:

New England Style Clam Bake & All American Adult Dinner Buffet - All American Buffet and New England Style Clambake featuring steamed clams, mussels, corn-on-the-cob, potatoes, chicken, fresh vegetables and BBQ Ribs. Salad bar and Dessert selection also included. Served nightly from 5:30pm - 9:30pm - $32.99 *

The menu on AllEars was updated 10/09 and shows the price to be $26.99. It looks like the price has gone up $6.00/person. We ate there in Dec, but were on the DDP, so I didn't notice the price. Of course crab legs are now on the menu. Maybe that's why the price jumped up.

Disney now adds a surcharge to some buffets during peak periods. This may be the difference in price.

i could be wrong but thought jan 7th was still the last day or so of peak.
