Hey yall....

I live in Colorado, hence my name, and this new years instead of going to the World we were thinking of trying the other coast....

about how much would tickets range for a family of 5 down there?

and is it better than Disney World?

You can price everything out at Disneyland.com. It varies depending on how long you want to stay.

As far as being "better", it all depends on what you are wanting. WDW certainly offers a greater variety of attractions, dining options, and hotels, but there's something to be said for simplicity and atmosphere. I love them both.

You can check park ticket prices on Disneyland.com. You can quote a trip for park tickets only. Prices very by how many days and the age of the kids. Ex: 4 day hoppers are $129 for kids 3-9, and $159 for adults when purchased in advanced. Ticket prices go up $10 on 1/3/06; I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing the ticket prices (05 costs versus 06 costs) are based upon the date of first usage.

Is Disneyland better than Disney World? I wouldn't say better, but there are many differences and advantages. It's much smaller and much more compact; it's in the middle of a city, not a world of its own. You can stay across the street and walk everywhere for around $100/night or less. It's probably hard to get rooms at one of the Disney properties between 12/20 and 12/31 though. This is a very busy time for DL.

I know this is kinda a no brainer but since Im new at this Ill ask

What r the names and prices of the resorts in Disneyland?

The DLR (Dinseyland Resort) consists of DL (Disneyland), DCA (Disney's California Adventure) and DTD (Downtown Disney) area. The DLR also has 3 Disney owned hotels: GCH (Grand Californian Hotel), DH (Disneyland hotel) and PPH (Paradise Pier Hotel)....hope this helps and didn't cause more confusion!
