Price error next August

I just think it's funny how it is all kicking off over there. People really do get upset over the silliest of things. Like I said there, I am fully accepting of the fact that they will realise their mistake (probably already have) and be contacting people to say they won't honour the prices. It's really not worth getting upset about. Most (if not all) of the people that booked did so knowing it was a mistake and should have accepted the fact that there was a very real chance they might have to pay the full price or cancel.

Exactly, Joh, it's always like that over there though. Threads get closed at the drop of a hat, I just don't want the thread closed so I can keep up-to-date with whats happening.

As long as you get your money back then at the end of the day you haven't lost anything. All of us took a shot knowing that.

I am not commenting on the other forum, I will get into trouble again:rotfl2:

Well, I have commented a couple of times but, you know me, I never can keep my mouth shut. It's OK over there, though, because I'm not a moderator :rotfl2:

Spill, Wayne! What did you get into trouble for before?

I made a comment on here about the moderation over there so one of the moderators from there reported me here. I think its a good site but could be far better, they don't like my opinions :rotfl2:

Sometimes I wish I had a different user name over there, I did lose it slighty a few month back, said something I shouldn't. Someone posted after me they thought my comments were offensive (they were right)

Just paid the full £500 balance.

Went back in to check... and it says that we have £5699 to pay by September next year. Think they have clicked, however I've not had an email yet.

I think I might call them? What do you think?

Others on The Dibb are reporting the same, thats why I haven't went back in to pay my full balance.

Personally, I won't be calling them. Any other price glitch I've been involved with (albeit tiny in comparison to this) the company has always contacted me and asked me if I'd like to pay full price or cancel. Their terms and conditions state if it's more than 10% price difference you will be able to cancel.

If you do call them then let us know what happens. I would expect things to start happening soon as I'd imagine they'd need the morning to decide a plan of action for staff to start implementing. Just my opinion though.

I just checked my booking on the Disney website and it still shows all the info and says paid in full, pleeeeeeeeeaaaase let it stand!! :wizard::wizard::wizard:

So wish i had seen this last night, would have booked for next year and hoped they didnt cancel

Currently on the phone to them.

They have a standard script. Apparently our booking is "under review, and Hammersmith will be in touch shortly".

I said the following:

Booking my 2013 trip last night, great news about the DDP being included etc etc. However when I paid the balance in full this morning, I received the confirmation screen that my holiday was paid for, but in the manage my booking screen its asking for a further £6k. How can this be the case?

The woman was very helpful and said there was a "technical glitch". They are admitting it was their issue but as suspected, unlikely to honour any bookings.

I then said "Thats not a problem at all, I understand that these things happen. Its just such a shame that potentially a large number of people will be let down by Disney, that cant make for good press coverage. However, I will gladly accept a full refund if that is the route that is chosen for the lucky customers who appeared to have had a bargin for the past 12 hours" And made a wee joke about it.

She left it that Hammersmith will contact me, but she has "made a note in the booking that I am wiling to discuss alternative options and/or pricing for next year". I figure a bit of negotiating might not harm things.

Thanks for letting us know. Did they give you any indication of when you will be contacted?

Do you post over on The Dibb? If not, do you mind if I post what you've said over there?

I tried and got through to the payments page twice - £711 for 2 weeks at OKW inc tickets and dining - sadly wouldn't go through - kept sticking on secure checkout page.

Good luck to anyone who got through.

It took me an hour of refreshing that page for it to go through
