Price drop after PIF?

I just noticed our cruise January 9th has dropped by about $1,500! We booked ours as a VGT several weeks ago. Any chance we can request a refund for the price difference? Since we booked so late, we had to pay in full at booking already. Just wondering if anyone has had this experience before?

The price of our cruise decreased one time after PIF and we were refunded the difference after our TA called. This was a regular booking though, not a GT. I'm not sure if that would make a difference or not. You (or your TA if you used one) needs to call and ask.

There are no refunds for last minute *GT bookings. From the DCL website:

• Full payment is required at the time of booking for all Guests and is non-refundable.

I would still call and just double check. It may be a long shot, but it never hurts to try. When our price dropped, it was only about 30 days prior to sailing and I think at that point our entire cruise fare was technically considered non-refundable. Good luck!

I will for sure call! Our TA is on vacation right now until after Christmas, so I will see if I can call myself. Just so sad when we just booked it and it drops by SOOO much!
