Price difference on DxDDp when getting Free DDP

I booked my family for a Free Dining trip in Sept. 2011 today. I was just thinking about something. Every time we have been to WDW we have used the DDP. I am now kind of curious about the Deluxe version. What are the main differences? Would I be able to "upgrade" from my free DDP to the Deluxe plan? If so how much would it cost us? There are three "adults" and we are staying at CSR if that matters. Thanks!!

Doesn't make any difference which resort you stay at other than you get the regular DDP if you're staying at a moderate. Yes, you can pay to upgrade to the Deluxe...you'll have until 72 hours before check-in to make the change but you may be charged a change fee of $15 if you wait that late. For no change-fee, call to upgrade before your 45 day final payment due date. Cost is the difference between the two plans...which I believe in 2011 will be $33 per adult per night, so your 3 adults will cost $99 per night more.

Just being plain nosy on this thread and very envious as unable to upgrade from Free QSDP to DXDP here in the UK and had to pay for my DXDP in full. (Could have upgraded to DDP but the calculations came out better to pay for DXDP for what we are doing this year - going for free DDP next trip.)

Yeah, I've never understood why they don't allow the UK packages to be upgraded.
