Preview of the Revamped Franck's!

I'm actually a little disappointed. It looks very nice but it looks like they took out a LOT of sample stuff that used to be in there for people to look at and get ideas. When I went there for my site visit in May they had tons of stuff! Like cakes, and linens and table setups, and a glass case showcasing favors and cake toppers, etc. etc. I don't know, I guess I'll just have to see when I go for Open House. :confused3

:crazy2: Ugh that carpet. Needs.to.go. Replace it with dark hardwood floors. Get rid of all the furniture and get more modern stuff with cleaner lines.

The furniture has wood embellishments...but the tables are iron and glass? The finish of the curtain rods don't match the finish of the tables. I'm just gonna stop because I can't even handle it anymore.

It's like a white washed funeral home. The focus should be all the wedding stuff and the horrible decor just swallows you.

Disaster, imo.

I have to agree that so far I am not impressed. I thought it was beautiful before, and I loved that it had samples of everything. I see there are computers and I suppose you can see samples on them, but it's not the same as seeing a set up in real life. Some things just don't look the same or translate the same in pictures. Also, I agree that some of that furniture doesn't match.

I may get shot for saying this, but I actually like the carpet. I love Victorian stuff and think that it is beautiful.

I stuck my head in the glass window today...hoping to get a peak...needless to say my sister was not impressed...so I treated her to luch at Kona Cafe later...

I don't like it at all. I'm actually a little sad now because I was really looking forward to going to Franck's for my planning session and it looks so...

I do like the carpet though.

I was there right after it reopened for my planning session and it looks better in person then it does in photos, in my opinion. There weren't nearly as many displays as I remember seeing before, but it was still beautiful!

I'm really surprised so many people don't like it! I think it looks very upscale in the photos. I'm also hoping that they're still in the process of adding displays -- you'd think they'd want people to be able to shop! ;)

I agree that the carpet and furniture is a little cheesy....but remember that it's called Franck's for a reason....the place in the movie was very cheesy! They wouldn't be able to say it was based off of the movie Father of the Bride if it looked modernized. I'm excited to see it in person!

I think most of it is beautiful. I don't like the metal furniture that you see dotted here and there, but if that was changed into more of a french provincial, or victorian theme then it would be lovely.

Just goes to show that everyone has different tastes. :upsidedow
