T minus 21 days and counting.... 20 days out from our wonderful trip to WDW and Wilderness Lodge. Myself and Catwoman on the prowl.

Right now, Catwoman and Racer X are getting ready to come home from their two week trip to Italy. I think of them every day, even now when I am sitting at Skates http://www.skatesonthebay.com/, overlooking the bay and sipping a lavendar Cosmo.

I still would love a drink right now from the Forbidden Isle www.forbiddenislandalameda.com, a tiki bar in Alameda. I think they put liquid crack in their drinks because I swear I can't stop Jonesing for them. My favs are: Painkiller, Missonary's Downfall and the wonderful Chamborlada. They even have an old school WDW Poly drink, the Leilani Volcano.

So much has happened since my last trip and so much is still the same. I am still poor, despite my lavendar Cosmo and I still don't have a real job. But I DO have a coupon so let me give you a description of my dinner:

Hot Crab and Artichoke Dip: BIG pieces of lump crab (not that shedded stuff) mixed with artichoke in a hot, creamy, cheesy sauce, served with soft foccacia bread points. It is so yummy but I only eat half so I dont fill up.

I wonder if dining solo at The World is like this. Lots of writing or reading or looking about while you wait for your food.

The Bay is really lovely. Light fog hugs the coast but you can still see "The City", Alcatraz and the Golden Gate. At a distance with no yapping, freaky politicians, it looks perfect. This really is a beautiful city from across the bay. A lone sailboat glides into view, sunlight bouncing off the water, sparkling. It reminds me of dancing.

I am having to sell my house. Most of you would keel over dead at what an 800 sq ft house goes for. I just hope to clear my note and fees. I don't think of money now, just packing, staging and cleaning. My large cat just sits on the bed and mocks me with his contemptuous silence.

The next course is Prime Rib, rare. All red and bloody, just the way I like it with fresh grated horseradish. Catwoman and I use to cook meat (or not cook it so much) on the outdoor grill and eat it with our bare hands, blood running down our arms, dripping off our elbows. Try it. It's liberating.

The sailboat is tacking into the wind now. It looks like a painting. Gods, this is better than wrapping cups in plastic.

The Prime Rib is good but mine is better. My parents, who are not prone to exageration, said it was better than our meal at Alice Waters place Chez Panisse. This meat was a bit salty but the potatoes were creamy and the veggies perfect.

I still haven't succeeded in meeting George Lucas. You see, I just know as soon as he meets me, he will want to marry me. My mother would ba happy if I just married someone, anyone, as long as they weren't a felon. My last 2 ex's should be in prison. I'm never going to meet George Lucas. I'm going to be a crazy cat lady. Brilliant.

I have them box my key lime pie. I am just too full to eat it right now (though I will say it was creamy with just the right amount of bite). Now its back home to wrap more things in newspaper. If I'm lucky I'll be home before dark. Do you know if you watch the sun set into the ocean and are really quiet, you can hear it hiss when it hits the water?

T minus 15 days and counting. Catwoman called me with a great plan to deal with our luggage. Ship it! She used a luggage company for her trip to Italy and touted the advantages of traveling luggage free. They will pick it up 2 days before we leave and will be waiting for us at Wilderness Lodge when we get there. This way we DEFINALTY will be able to make our 9:30 ressies at Artist Point AND check in first with us landing at 7:30pm.

This really makes my day.

Now I am trying to decide what to pack and when to pack it. Should I pack Pal Mickey or carry him on. Since I am taking Pal Mickey should I take the Mickey teddy bear too? Will he feel cheated if I leave him at home?

Should I take my packed bag to Catwomans house in LA on Friday and let her ship it? Would I have time to pack? Will I need more stucco for the side of my house. All these things are preying on my mind. :laundy:

Loved loved loved your last trip report (who can forget Dot?) so I am very excited to see you have a new trip planned. I hope you have a great time - I'm looking forward to reading all about it.

And by the way, what in the world is a lavender cosmo? Since it takes a couple of years for the coastal trends to make it to the armpit of the midwest I'd like to be ahead of the curve on this one if at all possible. ;)

Me too! I read your last trippie and it had me laughing out loud many times! :rotfl2: I've been watching for you to start a new report as I remembered you said your next trip would be April 2007. Can't wait to hear all about it! :yay:

So last weekend I dropped my luggage off with Catwoman. I packed both Pal Mickey AND my Mickey teddy. I hope they don't run out of air. I got confirmation from Florida Tours for our car, Beth from Dreams Unlimited has checked in and I have our travel docs. I was at work today thinking - next week at this time we will be at Animal Kingdom, next week at this time we will be getting on a bus to go to Animal Kingdom Lodge, next week at this time we will be eating at Jiko. AND right now, next week at this time, we will be back in our room at Wilderness Lodge. I will be scarfing on left overs while Catwoman will be lamenting having to eat so much on vacation so I will eat her leftovers as well.

We will be getting ready to do Saturday at Magic Kingdom with dinner at Narcooses that night - Chef Gray HERE I COME! I will be writting notes in my trip journal, plotting my food porn pictures and looking forward to our closing night dinner - CHEFS TABLE @ V&A's.

Remember DISers - cocktails at Mizners (or however you spell it) on Monday the 23rd at 5:30pm.

My house is getting more and more empty. I should be painting trim right now. I should be packing more stuff. I should be taking a shower because I am starting to get a little whiffy (sniffing pits to check).

BTW - beware "THE RETURN OF DOT". I have been asked to help wrangle kids for a mini-WDW vacation. Hey, Ursula is paying and Dot is MUCH better company that her parents anyway. We might also have my nephew/neice as well if my sister will let them go. They are a bundle and only I can handle them. I have the Ceaser Milan "Dog Whisperer" thing going. I project calm, dominant energy and the kids listen to me. They have no choice. It is either that or I will check them into the kennels outside the gates.

But that is a little ways off yet.

OK, back to packing my house, dreaming of DIS and wondering if Melly can get away from her Beautiful Bride to meet me for drinks. I wont tell.

Ummmm, its a lavendar cosmo.... Let's see, its light lavender in color, it is ringed with sugar and bits of lavender. I know it has vodka, lime juice, and maybe a bit of blackberry.

Its pretty and yummy. For a butt kicking drink - go for the Irish Car Bomb, my hard drink of choice. Wonder if they make those at Raglan Road?

My luggage was shipped yesterday, which is a good thing since we route through JFK and that freakin storm is threatening to harsh my mellow. I just need to pack a small carry-on. I have lists, lots of lists but can't really put things together until tomorrow.

I called my car service to pick me up at 6am for a 7:30am flight. The airport is only 20 minutes away and I have no bags to check in so that should be fine.

It just doesn't seem real yet.

I have been working on the house. I am selling it and most of my things are in boxes. Its weird not having your things around you. Its kind of depressing actually which is why this is going to be such a good thing!

I'm bringing my journal so I can write on the plane. Go me! Do I really need a digital camera? Hmmmmmm
