Pretty good car hire deal

...at least it was for me.

I managed to get 21 days car hire in May on a 7 seater minivan for £455 (fully inclusive) from Co-Op Travelcare. I had to phone to get this price, as the web site wasnt even offering this vehicle.

The salesman said it was a "today only price", however I never really believe that, but they got the sale anway.....the only problem I had with them was getting them to drop the 2% commission on the credit card I used, which was the actual travelcare visa, of which one of the benfits is "pay no 2% commission on travelcare purchases".....he referred it to the supervisor who refused to drop the commission because aparantly they thought that card didnt qualify for that.....idiot.

This price compares to £523 that AirlineNetwork are quoting, so anyone shopping around, it might be worth giving travelcare a go.

Can I ask which company the car hire is with? A lot of the companies have moved off-site at Tampa International, which is always a real drag after the flight. Dollar have retained their on-site offices, so we always try to use them.

I wont know till the paperwork arrives, but I do know that Travelcare use Holiday Auto's, who in turn use Dollar or Alamo, depending on who gives them the best rate.
Its an Orlando International pickup though, not Tampa.
