This trip report is a bittersweet attempt. My last trip report I started began and ended with a pretrip report
My last disney trip was an attempt at saving our marriage, a second honeymoon. That was a few years ago and a lot has happened since then. We divorced and life has taken some twists and turns, some good some bad. Bottom line is we are all moving forward. I am now in a relationship and am crazy in love.
This trip is me and three crazy kids, all disneyophiles. Balletbeth is 15, sometimes I think she is more mature than I am. Loves goofy and Tinkerbelle and wants to have her picture taken with Prince Charming.
Katiebug is 13, and has 13 years of attitude. I love her but some days .. Any mom of a teenage girl will understand. She is probably the biggest Disneyophile of all of us, she can spout off Disney trivia that will leave you scratching your head. Loves Minnie Mouse and can see a hidden Mickey at 50 paces.
Superhero Ben (10) is probably one of the funniest people I have ever met. Complete goofball. Im looking forward to this trip with him, he is willing to try some of the rides that eluded him in previous years. He didnt like Pirates of the Caribbean and was afraid of the dream sequence on Winnie the Pooh, hes a bit of a worrier. Lately he has been concerned about Tornados. If the wind picks up and the sky turns dark he is convinced that a tornado is going to take us all out. He starts gathering flashlights and planning our escape routes. His sister doesnt help, she printed off a tornado warning from the weather network and gave it to him. It was for Georgia. We live in Ontario Canada. Dont tell him its hurricane season in Florida, Ill never get him on the plane.
My sister Mechelle (Aunt Shell) and nephew Tim are joining us on the trip, I am over the moon. Crazy excited. Aunt Shell has had quite a year herself, she separated from her husband and is coming to terms with being a single parent. At 41 my younger sister has a fear of any ride that moves faster than she can walk. A sure sign we will be in trouble if there is any type of restraint on the ride, she feels if they are going to put any type of safety device than its too fast. Hopefully her passion for Margaritas and German Beer will help her overcome this, I would hate for her to miss out on Soarin
We leave in a week ..8 sleeps!
