Pressie ideas for female friend...

Hi there,
I'm hoping some of you might be able to help!

I have a friend who has had a run of bad Christmas's (since her dad died) and so I've invited her to share Christmas with our family. We are all really looking forward to it, but my family do pressies in a big way and we don't want her to feel left out, but don't want to go overboard and make her feel awkward either.

At the moment the plan is to do a stocking with lots of little things in it - which will be from all of us, but I'm wondering what to put in it. So far I have bought some little travel sized bottles from the sanctuary range in Boots, a choc orange, a bear keyring, a 'choose what to do' dice... and am planning on looking at stationary in Sainsburys later - as they always seem to have nice stuff.

I don't want to get loads of stuff that she's not going to have any use for... so ideas welcome!

I like those 'gloves' that you wear in the shower, the ones that exfoliate. About £3-£4 from chemists but £1.50 at Primark but they only had white last week (they were near the handbags)

Ohhh how fun! I love making up stockings.

How about some nice hand cream, a nail varnish, bubble bath, some chocolate coins, some really soft fluffy socks, some earrings or necklace (not expensive but costume jewellery), a handbag size 2010 diary.

I am sure I will think of some more.

I agree with Nat, I was going to say candles! Little bits of make-up is a good idea too.

nail varnish, lipstick/gloss,nail care kit, compact mirror, key ring/charm, mini photo frame-with a picci in it already!, disposable camera to capture the day.

Ohhh Monsoon have some REALLY nice compact mirrors, they're about £10 though. Bought my friend one.

Can't really think of anything else someone's not already mentioned

Think a disposable camera is a great idea - makes a change from the phone on the camera... Nail varnish is also good - she def does her toes... can't remember what everyone else said without looking - but loads for me to get! Thanks
