does anyone know what the prices are for them at Disney or in the gifts stores in the area....

They were $8.95 a piece when we were there last summer. Overpriced? Probably. We don't regret it though. The kids LOVED collecting the pressed pennies and this was the perfect way to ensure they weren't lost in pockets or at the bottom of a bag.
