Just a heads up, rumors are that there will be a press event on Tuesday after MK closing (6pm) to announce the changes to the FLE plans, likely with some new concept art!!

OP Source, perhaps? Not looking for a name, but a general discription. "Disney management insider I know", "Bus Driver"...

I read this over on the wdwmagic boards. There are a few guys over there that have very good information so I would tend to believe that this will happen.

They did mention that the Seven Dwarfs mine car attraction will be announced as well as the removal of the current Snow White dark ride and also something named Circusland.

I can also confirm that there is a press event. I had assumed it was involving the Dream, since most of the media attending the event will also be taking a cruise on the new ship starting Wednesday -- but this event tomorrow may actually be FLE-related. It would make sense, since they already have everyone (including national media) in town for the Dream cruise.

Hmmm...so the press event might be for the "Dream", or might include something more. At least we'll know tomorrow! Love to see them unveil some of the changes. I think with D23 coming in August there will be very few big announcements from Disney in the coming months, they'll save them for then.

I think as far as most media is concerned, this is an item on the agenda for their Dream trip. But I suppose it could be about anything from FLE to the cruise to a peek at the new castle lighting effects.

I'm hearing now that they'll see the new castle light show. I don't know if that's the whole event or just part of it, but I haven't heard anything on new FLE concept art or anything like that.

me too this has really blown up on that board all kinds of speculation. I guess all the TDO including Bobby Iger, John lasseter, Tom Staggs will be present. I am sure a final product of the FLE will be annonced with a time-line.

That news broke today as well.. perhaps they will work that in

The whole clown thing really is a huge let down, I had hoped they would wake up and redo the area into something better.

If the tents were not already built there would be no talk of a stupid circus theme area. The only reason for this is Disneys have become obsessed with doing things as cheap as possible.

The clown thing smacks of Dinoland in AK. Cheap and not very Disney.

Holy Shmoley - the mine car ride is in there!

And GoofyEeyore26 hit the nail squarely on the head! Nice job. Looks like Snow White is a goner (in exchange for some princess M&G?) and the mine car is a reality. No pixie Hollow either from the looks of it. Hopefully we'll get a little more tonight...

BTW - I reserve judgement on what many of you are calling the "cheap" circus theming. It is quite logical to move Dumbo, if you are rethemeing the area around the castle..and it also makes perfect sense if you are going to have a major area themed around dumbo to it use a circus theme. The interactive queue concept is fascinating. (No more Dumbo Dash - there's no line anyway). Looks like Barnstormer is staying - with Goofy still at the helm!

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Walt Disney World released artist renderings of the expansion of Fantasyland Tuesday. The project is the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history. More details will be released tonight during a media event.

The project which is currently under construction will include a new home for The Little Mermaid Ariel, new ways to interact with favorite Disney princesses, an exciting new family coaster, a double dose of Dumbo and more.

It will open in phases beginning in late 2012.

Among the highlights planned:

Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid
-A major, all-new attraction during which guests will travel with Ariel and her friends through their exciting adventures above and below the waves – all against a musical backdrop of songs from the classic film.

The castle of the Beast
-Standing majestically upon a hill just across an old stone bridge from Ariel’s new home. The Be Our Guest Restaurant will feature a lavish dining experience in the elegant ballroom, gallery, and mysterious “West Wing” of the castle. With seating for 550, this magnificent facility will offer “great food fast” service by day and full table service dining in the evening. Nearby in Belle's Village, guests will find the rousing Gaston’s Tavern and Bonjour! Village Gifts.

Just outside the village is Belle’s cottage and Enchanted Tales with Belle. The adventure begins in Maurice’s workshop, where a magical mirror is the doorway to a captivating new kind of storytelling experience: Guests are transported to the Beast’s library to meet Belle and Lumiere, and share in a lively, interactive, re-telling of the “tale as old as time.”

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
-It will take guests on a rollicking, musical ride into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.” The coaster will feature a first-of-its kind ride system with a train of ride vehicles that swing back and forth, responding to every twist and turn of the track. The journey will be accompanied by music from the classic Disney film and animated figures of Snow White and the Dwarfs.

Princess Fairytale Hall
-Aurora, Cinderella and other Disney princesses, such as Tiana and Rapunzel, will greet guests in their new home, an elegant royal court on the site where Snow White’s Scary Adventures stands today.

The sound of the calliope
-This will lead guests to the brand new Storybook Circus and not one but two circling carousels of airborne pachyderms on Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Before taking to the skies on this Fantasyland favorite, guests can experience an array of fun-filled family games and interactive wonders for kids of all ages inside the Big Top.

Storybook Circus
-The classic Barnstormer gets a bright new look as well, featuring Goofy as The Great Goofini. It’s a twisting, turning roller coaster “flight” high above the circus fun.
