President's Week Waitlist

Hello everyone,

If I were to have a SSR reservation for President's week of 2006 and I wanted to waitlist for another resort, can you waitlist for two or do you have to choose one? If you have to choose one, would I have better luck getting into VWL or BWV? Any help from you experienced veterans would be much appreciated. Thanks and have a great 4th of July weekend.

You can waitlist for all of the other resorts if you wanted to and then they'd call you with the first one that came up or would switch your reservation automatically when one of the waitlisted ones came up if you told them to do it that way.

I also have a President's Week reservation at SSR, but if you call right at the 7 month window, I wonder if you'd even have to waitlist. July 19th may be a busy day at Member Services.

FWIW, I really don't think you will have a problem getting a President's week reservation at 7 months at either VWL or BWV (unless you want a standard view or a guaranteed Boardwalk view). It's possible that you may have to wiatlist, but I would be very surprised if it didn' tcome through relatively quickly if you do. Let us know, OK?

OK... I can tell you my experience for Pres. Week 2005. We reserved our home resort, BCV, for Sun-Thurs at 11 months. I went back and forth on if we should change to VWL. At some point AFTER the 7 month mark (I think it was more like 5 months) I called about availability assuming that I would have to go on the waitlist and not need to decide that moment. Well, they had the 5 nights in a 2 bedroom lock-off. Since I couldn't decide, I went on the wait list for a dedicated 2 bedroom (I know it doesn't really make sense). At 30 days out, I got a call that one was available. So it is possible. I would waitlist for what ever resorts/room types you would like more then you have for the whole reservation and wait and see what happens!
