I know....I am out of my mind, but the kids are out of school only at these times. So has anyone been to WDW both of these times of year for a comparison, in regards to crowds and weather? I realize that February will be chilly, but just how chilly? And can I assume that easter is far more crowded? Thanks for helping me out, we'll be staying at OKW from Sunday thru Friday. pirate:

We've gone to WDW during President's week for the last few years. We also visited during Easter week once. The Easter week was much, much more crowded! I would not consider going during that time again. I waited twenty minutes to use the bathroom at the MK!

The weather in February varies. This past year it was beautiful, with temperatures in the 80's every day! This was unseasonably warm for February, as you can expect it to be between 60 and 70 degrees most days, but it could be warmer or cooler.

The big reason Presidents week is better crowd wise is that many schools do not have the entire week off...The weekend will be busy, but the Tuesday after the holiday will be like touring during the off season. :)

I hope it will be :sunny: and warm again this year!

I am a teacher so I am locked into those times as well...this year we went in February and April. I would say that the weather in April outweighs any crowds. The weather is nice enough for swimming in the afternoon, where that is not a definate in February. If I am making the trip, and have to make a choice, I would definatly prefer April just for the better weather. We already booked April 2007.

Been both a number of times. Those who have gone Presidents week and not Easter week often complain about the huge crowds during Presidents week. Those who have gone both weeks really wish they had those comparatively small crowds from Presidents week during Easter week. One way to look at it: during Presidents week at noon in MK, you can walk from Space Mountain to Splash Mountain in about 15 minutes; during Easter Week it can be 30 minutes or longer because the crowds are so thick. Weather can vary in February from 80's to 50's for the highs with many often in the low 70's. April is generally in the 80's, although you can get a cool day once in a while and also get 90's.

DH teaches HS and we have been both in Feb (President's week) and April (3rd week -- Patriots Day, gotta love those Revolutionary War Holidays). We will only go to WDW in April when it is NOT a week surrounding Easter. Luckily, the next several years are good to go. We are also veterans of Christmas week, and I personally found the Easter crush more difficult -- perhaps warmer temps??? Also with our Christmas week perspective, we do not find the February crowds tough. Also we have always found the weather to be warm enough for swimming and one water park day, but that's easy when there's snow back on the ground in CT.

We went at Easter ONCE and never went again at that time - never will, either!

We were at OKW this past Feb and must have been there a week other than Mich Mouse - our week was cold and/or rainy for much of the time - natives were telling us that it was their coldest in 20 years! We were not wearing sweaters and parkas, so it was ok with us - we had left 20" of snow behind us as we drove out of NJ!

I prefer the week before President's week beacuse I am a govt worker who gets Lincoln and Washington b-days as holidays - 2004 weather was great, 2005 weather was not so great - certainly not a week for the pools [no matter how warm the water was!].

Everyone should do an Easter vacation at WDW at least once - some of us are much more adaptable than others - using extra magic hours for parks might help your scheduling - imagine going to Florida and WDW and not being able to go in the water! - that might be more than the kids can handle. - they are much more likely to get in the pools at Easter than in Feb.

We visit every President's Week and every Easter Week. DO NOT base your decision on weather alone! Let me tell you the past two President's Weeks have been beautiful! It was in the 80's everyday and sunny, just gorgeous. This past April (week preceeding Easter) it was awful! It was cloudy and unbelievably windy. It was sooooo cold getting out of the pools that we didn't even want to swim. We had 2 out of 7 days that we actually saw the sunshine.

You cannot predict the weather, so don't base your vacation on that. In fact we just returned from our August trip and it was low 90's and very low humidity. The weather was beautiful. Every other year it has been crazy humid and rains every afternoon. Not one day of rain last week!

You may better consider the crowds. President's Week is busy Sat, Sun, and Mon. Then the parks and resorts seem to empty out. As a PP said, not everyone is off all week, but they are off on Mon. Easter is a busy time period. The week before and the week after. Heck, just look at the points required to stay! That will tell you how busy of a time it is!

We always visit those two weeks because I teach and that's when I'm off! I love it when Easter falls in March because our spring break is always the 2nd or 3rd week of April and we miss the Easter crowds and points!

Touring Plans has the crowd levels on Pres Week as mostly 9's (one 10 on Pres. Day). The week before and after Easter as all 10's (out of 10).

We have gone Pres. Wk and think it is a good time to go. Love leaving the snow of Feb!! We have had great luck with the weather as well. Sunny and 80's.
