President's Week Car Rentals..has anybody's gone down??

Just wondering..still have my reservation with Dollar for $205 for the five days but was hoping alamo or national would drop. We are used to having a SUV and this time we only have a intermediate..just keeping a watch!

No, and they most likely will not. President's Week is one of the most expensive times to rent a car. It will get to a point where Alamo and National won't even have the cars in the garage for those who rented from them. Most coupons will have exceeded capacity and many corporate code rates will have all been used for that time frame. Sorry for the gloomy news, just don't want you to get your hopes up! I would say be happy with your $205.

My one week rental went down to $198. in November and has not moved since. I don't think it will either.

I go ever year. It is also the Daytona races the week that you are going.
I usually get a car for the week between 150.00 to 200.00

The last few years, the agents have said to me, boy you got a great deal. I think the cars go for about 500.00 and up for this week.

I got an Emerald aisle car from Feb 20 thru Feb 25 for 165 taxes included. I used 5125601 contract ID and the 30 off coupon from the website. I booked this today.

Only thing is that contract ID supposedly has something to do with the Amex card. I used it successfully in Dec (we paid with an Amex card, so I'm not sure whether or not they would have asked for it.) I hope it still works, cause rates are crazy otherwise!

Wow you got lucky..i just tried those codes for feb. 20-24th and didnt find anything lower then $500.00...Way to Go!

I got $182 for compact 2/14-2/21 thru Dollar with the Orlando Magicard code about a month ago, now it's $651!

That's a bummer. It's the extra day. I think I'm getting the weekly rate because it's 5 days. (I just tried it with your days, Feb 20-24, $600!, and my days, Feb 20-25, $156.) Too bad you couldn't stay an extra day!
