President's Day (week) and CA Public Schools

Anyone know when the CA public schools are out for President's day/week? My wife and I are going in Feb (16-19) and I am a bit worried that I have arranged for us to be there during a super busy time. Any help is appreciated!

I'm in Nor Cal. We have Monday the 14th and Monday the 21st off for Lincoln's Bday and Presidents Day. One district in our area has the whole week of the 14th off, plus the 21st but that's not common at least around here. Of your trip dates I think you will be okay until maybe Friday night when those coming for a long weekend will come out. Saturday will be busier too. Take comfort in knowing all APs but PAP will be blocked for the majority of the weekend.

I can tell you most local San Jose (N. California) schools are out February 21-25.

Off season is harder and harder to plan for I think we should be fine. Without kids, its gotta be sooooo much easier anyway, even if it is busy in parks.

Many schools in the country (inc ours up here in Seattle) are out for Presidents week the 21-25 (the 21st as a holiday and the other 4 days as vacation week). I would think (?) that the week you are going would be much slower than the next week (when we are going for a couple days lol).

We are on the central coast (so about 3.5 hours from DL) and we also have only Monday the 14th and Monday the 21st off.

We are about 30 minutes from DLR and my kids have the two Mondays (14th and 21st) off. But our district is much smaller than LA Unified, so ours would not have as much of an impact on crowds.

With the long weekend and Monday off, I actually think alot of AP holders will be in the parks...that makes it a little bit crowded (like most Sundays that are open to AP holders).

I'm in Modesto too! Empire school district to be exact, and we have the same dates you mentioned. I am a teacher in Ripon and those are our dates as well. Every public school is different.

We had to have this information for planning purposes (Girl Scouts). Some schools take 2 three day weekends, (Monday the 14th and Monday the 21st), some take one four day weekend (Friday the 18th thru Monday the 21st), and the remaing schools do something else (including a couple that do "ski week" and are closed for a week (mostly the week of Feb 21st). There are a LOT of school districts in Orange County, and each has their own schedule...with the addition of furlough days this year.
