I'm sorry your dd's birthday passed by with no one in the know saying anything to you.:( I know it must hurt, I can only imagine the pain you go through since that day 5 years ago. {{hugs}}

Thank you so much browneyes :)

Preshi:

I, too, understand how you feel. Our anniversaries have much more importance to us than to others. As much as my mother loved and cared for me she NEVER remembered my son's birthday. These are the total realm of a parent to remember. My Mom, on the other hand, knew how much pain it caused me so she chose to forget it. As a mother, I do understand that now.

It took YEARS for me to try to understand that no one misses my baby as much as I do, but that's the nature of the maternal instinct. Letting go of the anger helped me to heal.

I chose to share his birthday with one person, my son, who NEVER forgets. We celebrate it like his brother is still with us. It's a personal thing for us but it gets us through.

I hope you know that you can come here and get the kind of care you wish you could get from those around you.

I am sorry as well Preshi. I read your other thread and feel the same as many. It is truly a good thing what you did.
