I'm sure everyone has one present (at least! :) ) that they had hoped for but didn't get.

If you could go out today and buy yourself that one thing you missed out on for Christmas or Hanukkah - what would it be?

If there was something you wanted but couldn't get as a present because of the price, what would it be?

You guys are going to laugh at this one for me.

I like to do carpentry work and have actually built a lot around the house including pantries and bookcases. I have a lot of power tools including all kinds of saws and routers.

I really want one of those nail guns like they use on Trading Spaces that shoots 2-2 1/2 inch nails. MAN.. could I do some damage with that puppy!!! My mom did buy me an electric brad nailer but it only does brads up to 1 inch. Good for finish work though I guess. (I got a kick out of it because my assistant manager's name is Brad and I said I would use it on him when he misbehaves..lol)

I was surprised she even bought me a tool because last year she refused to buy me tools... Women aren't supposed to do stuff like that. (All I wanted was a table saw..lol) When I built a new pantry in the kitchen she changed her tune!

So.. what would you go out and get for yourself?

LOL, Laurie! I like tools, too.

I would have loved for Santa to have surprised me with a Dremel.

Kathy! Santa gave me a Dremel this year! I can't wait to get my hands on a spare chunk of wood to see what this thing can do! :bounce:

Wow, a lady who likes tools!!! Lovin' it!!

My sister and I was talking about going Halfsies on one of those guns. I put together my first bookcase this year and put up molding EVERYWHERE and what a blessing that would be!

This year I purchased a miter saw, a power sander, a circular saw and my next purchase is a jigsaw!

My family calls me Barbara Vila!! :p

What I didn't get? I guess I could say the jigsaw! :teeth:

BTW, I have a dremel also but my sister somehow misplaced it...

DH always laughs because I love power tools. Last thing we made together I was incharge of the circular saw. He didn't do anything to tick me off that day.;)

Funnily enough I'm the tomboy of the family but I wanted a small bottle of Glamourous but didnt get it. :( I have one more Christmas to go to but if I dont get it there I'm buying it with my first paycheck next year. ::yes::

There is a 3 set of DVD's I wanted that I didn't get. I think I'll just buy it for myself. :) It's " The Life of Birds" from PBS :) Very interesting stuff (well to me)

Sorry gang I always get what I want. :teeth:

Who me spoiled?!? NAH :upsidedow ::yes::

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I only asked for an oven mitt from DH, the ove glove or something similar. He got me an oven mitt and stocking stuffers too. I ended up getting plenty of giftd from the family too. I really didn't want or need anything so I was happy. Until today! I opened up the paper and saw this beautiful eternity ring. You know the ones with the diamonds that go all the way around? So DD and I are going shopping tomorrow so I can get a present to myself!

My DH asked me to list my top 5 favorite Sees candies...I did and he said he wanted to get a box of just my favorites for my stocking. What a guy....but he never bought it! I was bummed yesterday not getting the Sees HE asked me about! What a dorkus!

Oh, that was a wonderful series. Wasn't David Attenboro (sp?) the narrator? He could read the Yellow Pages and it would be wonderful! ;)

I wanted a calculator. Just a simple adding and subtracting calculator. One that is not huge with paper but not really small either. He gave me a gift certificate for this palm thing that calculates, programs things and extra's. I told him that that was really nice but I was using it to buy my calculator and I would figure out what else I want after that, but not the palm thing.

Every year my two BILs ask for a list of what we want/need, and every year I give them a list. They never get the things on the list. This year I asked for a carpet cleaner, I desperately need one. Instead they got us a surround sound system with a DVD player!???? We already have a DVD player, which they bought us two years ago! And our living room is rather small, so the surround sound doesn't make much sense to me. Very much a guy thing, I guess, as my DH liked it. I commented on returning it, after all how many DVD players do we need? We only have one tv. Needless to say, I think I insulted the DBILs.
And DBIL Rick helped my DH install the surround sound last night...

I asked for more DVC points I explaned that if every family member would purchase 25 points for me I would have enough....They all just laughed. :( Started part-time job last week I'll buy my own points... ::yes::

I asked for 1 item: the Bon Jovi Crush DVD. DH bought me 2 Bon Jovi CD's and I already have both of them. Why don't they LISTEN???

I really wanted a Louis Vuitton multicolor bag. Unfortuantley I didnt get it

I asked for a pair of slippers and I got some kind of house sandal, slip-on. I went today and bought my slippers for $4 on sale. ;)
