Prescription Glasses on Rides & a Splash Mountain Question

Part 2 is about Splash Mountain. I know the ride doesn't have bench seats and can accomodate 5 people. Would our daughter be able to double up and sit in front of us but in the same "seat/section"? I ask because she's used to this on our local amusement park's flume ride. If it helps, she's 5 years old, 45 inches and only 40 lbs.

Splash has 5 single seats and a 6th row that can accommodate 2 (with restrictions), so it's likely you can ride with DD5

Just to expand on this.

The logs are 6 "single" seats.

The back row is designed for one "larger guest," but CM's will allow a (thinner) parent and their (under 48") child to sit side-by-side in it at their discretion. Another option is the sixth row wraps around the 5th seat, it is possible for the person in the 6th row to sit and wrap their arms around the person in front of them.

How the last row is designed can be seen here (not my pics)...

I'm blind as a bat without my glasses as well, so I wear them on every single ride (including Screamin' and water rides). Honestly, what made me the most comfortable was buying glasses (and my back up pairs!) at zennioptical.com .... I paid $70 or so for 3 pairs of prescription glasses and one pair of prescription sunglasses at Zenni. So, I would bring 2 pairs to the park with me (typically whatever pair complemented my outfit, and then my sunglasses). I knew if either pair fell off during a ride, I'd have a spare pair immediately available--and that I had lost $15 glasses instead of the $350 ones they sell at the eye doctor. For what it's worth, my ophthalmologist was the one that told me to go to zennioptical.com to order my glasses. It's really quite simple to order them (just ask your eye doctor for a written prescription, and the "PD" or pupil distance, and they will hand it over, then hop on the website, find your dream glasses and a few back up pairs, order, and put in the prescription information; they do bifocals as well!). Their "cheap" glasses are in the $8 range, and they go up from there. Sunglasses are like $5 more.

Oh, and carry a microfiber cloth to wipe the water off my glasses :)

I'm blind without my glasses and invested in a set of croakies years ago and it's been a lifesaver. I still don't risk it on Screamin' but Splash , Space Mountain , etc. it holds it secure.
I always keep my "old" pair at the hotel or in the car in case of emergencies but it's never been needed.
