I was a preschool teaching assistant for 3 years! Loved my job, but wanted to be able to stay at home with my own kids....I had 24 students each day. Believe me some days were harder than others
Thanks! I wish every parent with children in school should have to be a subsitute for one day.
I have it pretty easy teaching in a private school, but it can still be challenging at times.
I second this! I help out in my daughter's first grade classroom every other week and after two hours I have a headache and want to take a nap. That age is fun, but they never stop talking - they have endless stories to tell!
After all the threads lately complaining about teachers I am so glad to see one that says thank you to them. I think its a lot harder for teachers to deal with some parents than the students. Thanks Teachers!
Thank you for such kind words. I teach preschool in a very improvished city. I have rough students and parents. But most days I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Ive been working at a preschool for four years..i LOVE it most days! im about to finish my junior year of college--want to teach kindergarten or first grade..its hard at times, but i wouldnt change it
I have taught preschool for 6 years and have loved every minute of it. This year I have a particularly chatty and rambunctious class so there are definite ups and downs. But I still love it. I have also taught Sunday School and I will say that I feel it is much easier to teach a regular class than the 1 hour of SS once a week. The kids have some boundaries and are more aware of expectations in a regular class setting than they are in a once a week SS class. At least that is my experience.
It is so nice to hear such kind words! I teach first grade in an area where parents are not very involved (ok, not involved much at all). It is refreshing to hear a thank you! I do have to say I love my little firsties - they bring light and a smile into my day - each and every day.
