Prepaying Room and Parking

I have a question for those of you who have done this before. I have the fax form which I've filled out with my name, confirmation number and dates of travel and have checked the boxes for Room & Tax and Incidentals, requesting they add an additional $75 for the 5 nights parking. I paid for one night's room and tax at the time of booking. Will they now just charge the other four nights plus the parking, or will they charge the five nights plus parking and refund the first charge?

They will charge the unpaid nights plus the amount you specified for parking (incidentals). I've done this before. You should be fine.

I have a question almost like this. Every time we go we book with a CC and they charge the first night. Then when we arrive they always charge the remaining balance plus parking to the CC. Now this summer we booked with a CC and want to pay the rest when we check in with cash. Can this be done? We won't be using hotel charging or mini bar either, just want to pay it up front with cash.

I thought about doing this and then decided since my trip is two weeks out it was just easier to pay it off by credit card, keep checking for the charges on-line and then just make an on-line payment to pay it off. I hate carrying large amounts of cash with me.

Maybe we will just put in the checking account and use the check card when we get there.

When we go i always have most of the stay paid. Last July i just checked my room account every day, and if it showed arrears i would pay extra in to my room account , so i would not have a big bill at the end of our stay.
I find that they will not charge anything to your CC until the end of your stay at Checkout , if you do not settle the account at the desk.

We almost always do it this way. It's no problem at all. Just tell them when you'd like to pay for it.

If there's any balance left, you could leave it on the CC on file or pay that cash too on check-out day.
