Hi,
Just wondering when they actually charge you for the meal when you make ADRs for the castle. When you reserve or have the meal?
Thanks:goodvibes

I was wondering the same thing. We have lunch scheduled for January 11 after the BBB for my granddaughter's birthday. I don't mind paying ahead really because it's a really expensive lunch! We have TIW card too - will they credit the 20% once we get there? :)

I can only speak for a situation where you are not on DDP, since I wasn't. I was charged the same day as I made the ADR, so it truly is a pre-pay in that situation. It is fully refundable, though, and I had that as well. We found a better time, so I cancelled the original one and had a CC refund within a day or two.

They charge your credit card for the full amount when you make the reservation. We were on the dining plan, but didn't have to add it to our reservation until 48 hours prior to check-in (DVC).

When we had dinner, I told them to use my credits for the meal plan and they credited by card for the full amount.

Thanks everyone. I did find out that they charge if you aren't on the dining plan ahead of time. I guess it makes sense because so many people want to have a meal there.
All's good:thumbsup2

If you are not on the DP, you will be charged when you make the ADR. If you make your're ADR online and you are on the DP, you will still be charged when you make it. If you call and make it with a CM, they can set it up so you will not be charged - which is what we did so we will pay with our DP credits when we eat.
