I'm a sissy. But kind of an adventurous sissy. I ride stuff but I am extremely apprehensive in line. Also, I get motion sickness easily. (Did I mention I'm a sissy? ) I felt really sick after riding that Israel ride in the millineum celebration!!!!

What's the deal? Scary? Motion sickeness? I'm riding anyway, but prepare me !!!!

Soarin is not scary in the least. I think some people may feel an odd sense of imbalance as the ride simulates flying. It is a great attraction. Enjoy! Oh, prepare yourself for a long hike through the queue; surely it is the longest in WDW.

I myself get motion sickness sometimes, but I didn't feel sick at all on this ride. It is smooth and so beautiful, you will love it!!! If you think it might bother you, take dramamine before you ride just to be safe, but I think you will be fine. Enjoy, it's a wonderful experience!!!

I also get motion sickness easily, but didn't have too much of a problem with this ride. How are you in an IMAX theater? I needed to close my eyes a couple of times, or look to the side, away from the screen. The seats move very gently, you really feel as though you are flying- very cool feeling! We had to head back to Epcot this past Monday before going to the airport just to do this ride one more time! So, from one sissy to another sissy- I think you will love it!!!

I do not like thrill rides at all but I loved this ride. I did it in California last year and can't wait to ride it in Florida this October. As far as motion sickness, I don't think this ride should bother you. Enjoy it!

Right up there for the best ride in all of WDW! My husband gets motion sickness and he did fine.

Thank you so much for the responses! I can't wait. I'm so glad it's not like when I'm in line for RnR Rollercoaster and just almost dreading it - til I ride and I love it!!!!

One more question: Is there fast pass for it or is open during extra magic hours?

I too get motion sickness and am more anxious in line than when i get on the ride. There is no reason to sweat over this one. Its great!

Here is the Imagineer that created Soarin. I got to meet him today at Epcot. The ride is awesome!!!! I don't like heights but you don't really see you are high off the floor. There are a few scenes the first couple times I rode I closed my eyes. After I got used to it I didn't have to do that anymore.

Rode it 4 times last week. I am scared of heights. Knees get weak, on a 4th floor balcony.

A few times, I did get a little rock in my tummy, the first time I rode, but after that it was great. Nothing to be scared of!!

Israel ride??? Tell me more about it... Geeze, not only did I miss it, I didn't know it ever happened!

More info please

Boy it wasn 't there for long! Remember the millenium village during that celebration? It represented a bunch of countries not already in WS. It was a little lame, but there was some good entertainment there from all over the world. One of the countries was Israel, and there was a ride. I just remember my stomach really hurting from motion sickness after riding it, but I can't remember much about it.
