Just wanted to share my prepaid phone experience. Got a Tracfone for 19.99 for 40(2)+20+100 minutes. I bought two of them, so I ended up with a total of 300 minutes for 40.00. We used them on vacation and they worked just perfect. Nothing to worry about, no activation or contract. You pay for exactly what you get. Calls under 20 second do not deduct any time.

Email me with any questions. pattim524@aol.com. Some great codes added to my minutes.

Have a beautiful day.

I just bought my phone and they said it will be here tomorrow. Thanks Erin for the double minutes code. I guess you must add that when you add your airtime card after the activiation, right?

Good deal for that little bit of money and for three months. I don't want the contract or activation fee just more of a phone for the car and then off to Disney and I will use it then instead of the hotel phone.

p.s. the new phone is very tiny.

We were wondering about this, as our cell phones would be roaming. where do you get these? and what do yu do with them when you are done with all of the minutes? This would be great to be able to keep in touch with the kids when they are in another park, we have used walkie talkies and they are okay, just alot of interference and we have always used them in the same park, may not be any good in another park.

disneyluv4 ~ if you don't need it after Disney, maybe you could pass it along to someone else who could use it? The Tracfone's aren't disposable so you just keep refilling the minutes.

I've had mine for about 3 years now I think and I've never been in an area where I couldn't make a call. There are a lot of areas when I travel though when I'm roaming on analog ~ not a huge deal but you will drain your battery a lot faster and it's double minutes to make a call when you're roaming.
I got each of my ~junior high age~ DDs a Tracfone as well since we're all on the go so much, they're really convenient.

The only drawback I've found to it is the customer service ~ they are a company that outsources to India and anytime I've had to call it has not been a pleasant experience (you get what you pay for, right?) ;)

As for where to get them, all of our local retailers now carry them ~ Wal-Mart, Target, K-mart, etc. And you can get the $19.99 deal at www.tracfone.com

HTH!! :flower:

Also dont forget to get a referral from someone because that gets you 100 bonus minutes and also gets whoever referred you 100 minutes. You have to go thru a special email activation link to activate your phone in order to get the minutes..

Email me at stacygibson@cox.net if you need a referral.
