Prepaid Phone Cards

Hi everyone! I'm from Germany and we will be at Disneyland for vacation in October. We have been to Disneyland three years ago and we used the hotel room phone to make a few short calls home. We had an enormous telephone bill. About 150 Dollars for nothing, if I remember rightly. So we decided to use prepaid phone cards this time, to better save the money for some souvenirs. Does somebody know where we can purchase prepaid phone cards at Disneyland and where we can find public telephones to use them? Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks! I hope my bad English is understandable!

Some information:
Prepaid Phone Cards: Vending machines offering AT&T Prepaid Calling Cards are located in Disneyland Park inside the Main Street, U.S.A. locker area and at the Starcade in Tomorrowland.
You can always ask at your Hotel front-desk...or...
You can also pick-up pre-paid phone cards at the grocery (market) stores or a Target..Wal-mart...I'm not sure if you will be using a rental car.

You've got a cell phone that works in the US?

I picked up a really cheap pre-paid SIM card for my cell phone last year. Worked perfectly, I even topped it up once during my stay in the US.

The year before I tried the pre-paid card route you are thinking off. Almost all pay phones near Disney tried not only taking the costs of a call, but an additional cost of about $ 2. That got annoying after a while, and costly.

I would agree, get a prepaid Trac phone or something similar. It works on similar principles to a calling card, but much more convenient.

By the way, your English is perfect. Wish I could say the same for my very rusty Deutsch. I used to be fairly fluent, but that was 25 years ago!
