Can someone post experience with this? I really don't know much about photo pass in general, but just heard about ability to preorder and save money.

did it last time - will do it again
great way to get the whole family in pictures
you get the cd with the copyright release to print pics anywhere you want instead of paying 15 for a picture
just make sure that you get your picture taken as often as possible - you get more to chose from (every time we went to MK we got it done again - you never know what faces your kids make or the clouds behind you look)

This is for the preorder? So if you DON'T do the preorder, then it's $15 a picture?

I plan on looking all this up, but do you recall how much the preorder is?

For the preorder, you get a CD. What about the regular? Do you just get a link and then you order off the website?

We've never preordered, but we're looking to do this on our April trip. :)

With Photopass, you have the option to order a CD (for one base price, NOT 15$/ print) or order individual prints that are mailed to you. We've always ordered the CD, it's pretty expensive but totally worth it. The CD is the same whether you preorder or not. Make sure to have tons of pictures taken, the CD will feel like it's more 'worth it'. With Photopass you can have 'magic shots' taken (Tinkerbell in your hands, holding Baby Simba, sitting on a bench with Stitch, etc) and you can put borders on the pictures too.

disneysphotopass.com will answer a LOT of your questions about it. :) We've combed the website like crazy and can't find the preorder option though. Hopefully someone will point us in the right direction.

I love photopass. In March 2010 we went, stayed off-site, and I ended up ordering the CD after and it was $149. When my son and I went in November 2011 and stayed on-site, Disney sent a photopass card to use. I went ahead and pre-paid ($99). We didn't have as many pictures in November since it was a shorter trip with just us 2, and I don't think I would have paid full price for it, but would have at the reduced price.

I would think if you are going with kids, seeing character, going for more than 4 days... it would be worth it.

Just for comparison sake I viewed my pics on the photopass site and put them in a cart-it would have been over $1,000 to order 1 of each picture from photopass directly. I pre-ordered the CD for $99 and should recieve it in a couple of days-there are actually some good pics of all us (we have pic taking issues). So for our family the pre-order worked well. If you order the CD afterwards I think it is $149-so you save $50.

Exactly how does the pre-order work? I went on the website and put it in my cart but it doesn't give instructions on exactly what you do different than if you just get the card in the park when you get there. I know the price is $50 cheaper but what do you have to do once you pre-order. Also my trip is March 5 - 12th. If I order today, will I get what I need in time?:confused3
