I could not get into a Preferred site in the 300 loop last year because of a small fence directly across the site. That was a Crew cab and 30' 5th wheel so they moved us to Loop 800 which worked out ok. A large Motorhome also could get into his site in the same back area of the 300 Loop..
There are some tight spots on the 300 loop, but they are not all tight. There are also tight spots on the 400, 500 and 1400 loops (all premium), so I would not automatically go with a premium site out of fear that you won't fit your 34' TT into a preferred site. You would have no problem getting that sized rig into 99% of the preferred sites.
The premium sites are closer to the action.
That depends on what action you are talking about. The 100 and 200 loops, which are preferred, are the closest loops in the whole campground to the Settlement area, where you will find the Settlement Trading Post, Pioneer Hall, the Horse Barn, and the Ft. Wilderness Pavilion, where they host Mickey's Backyard BBQ. The Segway tours leave from the old River Country area, which these loops are closest to, as well. I would say that these loops are "closer to the action" than any premium loop. The 300 loop is right next to the dog park. Plenty of action there, too.
What action would you say the 1100 and 1200 loops, which are premium, are close to?
The 600 and 1400 loops, which are premium, are close to the campfire area, pool and Meadow Trading Post. The other premium loops are not so close.
