We would be booking a military rate room and adding the plan. I was looking at making three seperate reservations if this will work. Please let me know if this can be done.
1 night Premium
1 night Room Only - to finish using benefits of premium package
5 nights Deluxe

I understand that the Premium meal credits would carry over until the next day. I would get 3 meals total. Can I use them for dinner the next night or would they have to be for breakfast and lunch? Would any of the recreation parts of the package carry over or are they only for that specific day?

I would do deluxe all the way but we're looking at the bass fishing trip. My husband has booked this before and he enjoyed it. For almost the same amount to book the fishing trip alone, by adding the premium for one day, he can book the fishing trip, we can go to Cirque (never been in all the times we've been to Disney), we could do the photo shoot, and we can go to Fulton's for dinner which is not on the deluxe plan. If you have any tips or know how this plan works as far as when all credits expire, please leave a comment. Thanks!

I thought the only way to get the Premium Plan is to buy the Premium package - it doesn't work like the Dining Plans - it's actually not considered a Dining Plan, but something a bit different. So I don't know if you could add it to a military rate room or not. I know they cannot be added to a DVC points stay (Premium or Platinum).

If you are able to do it, all your Premium entitlements (meals, activities) would end at midnight on the day you check out from that package.

Then for the day after the room only night, you would have no dining plan or credits or anything.

You would get your deluxe dining credits when you check in for that package and they would run until midnight of your checkout day from that.

Found this comprehensive info on Mousesavers, you should read through it yourself, but it does say this:

Obviously there is the cost of adding the plan. In addition, you will have to pay full “rack rate” for your room* and ticket on the Premium or Platinum Plan, because the package discounts offered to the public only allow you to add the lower-level dining plans. So if you would otherwise be getting a discount on your room rate, you must take into account the additional cost of one night in an undiscounted room.

Also, you have to buy at least a 1-day Base Ticket with the package, whether you need it or not.

From that, it does not sound like you can book that with your military rate room since it's discounted, but I know sometimes they do allow different things with the military offers, so I couldn't say for sure.

I will check the link out. I was hoping you could book the plan without the theme park tickets. There's so many other activities that I would not want to even visit a theme park. (I would do that during the Deluxe dining portion of the trip.) Time for more research.

FYI, the theme park ticket does not have to be used any particular day. You can use it any time or you can use the value of it, to upgrade to another ticket.
