Premium plan dining question

I know on the premium plan you are not necessarily on a point system but one day we will be at DC and Seaworld. Will we lose those meals or can I use them on another day during our trip to cover the cost of the day not covered?

You won't lose them - they'll still be in the pool to use up before midnight on your checkout day. Lets say that on your non disney day you eat bfast before you go and you eat dinner back at disney at the end of the day - you would still have your "lunch" credits to use later. You could easily use them for an extra meal on your departure day or a late night meal (can we say room service rules) at any time you felt hungry.

You still get credits though - 3credits x #of nights x # of people = total credits. Credits can be used for any meal, you don't get x number of bfasts, lunches, etc. And remember each meal, signature, dinner show, whatever - only costs 1 credit per person.

If you have any questions feel free to PM me - we've used this plan a boatload of times.

Is it really worth it to get the dining plan? If so, do you recommend the cheaper one, or the higher priced one? My DH thinks it would be cheaper just paying for what we choose to eat.

Thanks!

MDennis - it really depends. The premium package is approx $150 per adult per night. That gives you 3 meals plus recreation, cirque, some tours, and the kids clubs. It can be hard, but not entirely impossible, to spend more in food per day than the plan costs if you like to eat 3 TS meals a day like we do. We tend to spend close to $50 on breakfast, at least $75 on lunch, and close to $150 on dinner with tax and tip most days for 2 people. However, may families, especially if you have kids, will find it difficult to break even just on food. If you add even 1 tour for your family and take advantage of some recreation (sea raycers, jet skis, and parasailing are our favorites) the plan more than pays for itself. Our last trip we "spent" $500 on jet skis and another $500 on parasailing. That paid for over 3 days of the package not even including food.
