Has anyone seen the new Premium sites at the Fort? Are they much larger than the old preferred site?

Just wondering. We're heading off for two weeks in October and have reserved a Premium site.

They are not completed yet... or even started. I try to go for a bike ride weekly at FtW, and as of last weekend, nothing had been started.

BTW- Welcome! I hope you have a warped sense of humor. You'll need one to survive this place!!

I do not know how they are going to do this schedule as we have Loop 900 booked from Jul 6-Aug 3rd

They take requests for loops and sites, but don't guarantee they will be able to fill the request. If there is something in particular you like about 900 loop it may be good to call and let them know so they can match you with the best site they have open:confused3

The last few years we have requested , and gotten, the 900 loop. We also will be there when this summer when they are supposed to be working on that loop. I wish I knew if they are sticking with that schedule or not. If so, I will request a different loop. If not, the it's the 900 loop for us. If anybody talks to them and finds out more, please report back...

Yes, "requested", sorry "booked" was the wrong word. This is our 1st time staying at the campsite and I am new to all this, as we always stayed in the cabin. but I called them and they told me the pretty much do everything they can to give you what you request. who knows.:sad2:

How much more is a premium site than a prefered site does anyone know ? :listen:

It really isn't much more. I just can't remember what the difference was because I switched as soon as I heard about the premium sites so it has been a little bit now. I will try to look back in my paper work and see what I can find.

Ok, I looked at my paperwork and it added $78 and some change to my total so it added a little over $10 per night for the premium over the preferred.
