I will be in DL for 3 days and WDW for two trips of 10 days+ (both with hoppers) within the next calendar year so I've decided to buy a Premier Passport.

For those who have experience with this particular form of ticket media can you please take a moment to chime in about the pros and/or cons of it? I've read up on the "Disney Speak" of these passes but I would like to hear about it from real people spending their own money.

TIA!

I'm making two trips to WDW plus I'm a DL local so this is the first time I'm getting the Premier. I was concerned about MDE and making FP+ reservations so I'm getting a WDW AP then upgrading when I get home.

I'm not sure 3 days at DL makes it worth it. I don't know the current price of a 3 day PH at DL, but I'm pretty sure it's less than the cost to upgrade from the WDW PAP to the Premier pass. Of course having the pass at DL will allow you free parking, and discounts on dining/hotels.

The 3-day DL PH costs $275 from Disney and would include one Magic Morning (one hour early in DL on select mornings). Depending on which WDW AP you were thinking of getting (Standard or Premium), it might be more cost effective to get DLR PH tickets and a WDW AP. That being said, currently (thing can change without notice) the DLR APs include some pretty nice discounts (e.g., 20% shopping discount, 10% to 15% dining discounts, etc.).

Are you going to WDW or DLR first? I started at WDW and got my Premier AP there (upgraded PH tickets to the Premier AP). I haven't had any issues with my Premier AP at either WDW or DLR. I was a little worried about it the first time I used the Premier at DLR, but the ticket gate system recognized it without any issues. I didn't have any problems with it at WDW either in terms of making FP+ reservations, but it might have been because I started with regular tickets that I upgraded to the AP.

We are in DL first, and I do have some reservations as to the issues on MDE and linking the pass.

I did some budget calculating and I think the discounts alone on merchandise, food and resorts (possibly) will more than pay for themselves. I guess I just wanted an up to date indication of what exactly those discounts are because I couldn't find a definitive answer on the internet.
Thank you for the information!

This link has the discounts broken down by location for the DLR APs (the Premier AP has all of the same discounts as the Premium DLR AP). The webpage has tabs for shopping, dining, and events/tours:
https://disneyland.disney.go.com/passes/discounts/restaurants/

The links on this webpage have the information on the discounts for the WDW APs (again the Premier AP has all the same benefits as the Premium AP).
