Hey all -
I had read some old posts that the Disney Premier Passport is not exactly seamless especially at DL. Costwise it makes sense for either me or my husband to have a premier passport for 2019 but I don't want to get one if using it is a hassle.

Any recent experience with the DL turnstiles/ticket readers recognizing it??

thanks!!!

I haven’t had one for a few years, but my only issue was that the card wouldn’t swipe for AP discounts. The CMs always had to punch in the number by hand. I never had any problems entering a park in either CA or FL.

I have a Premier AP, and have had no significant problems.
Premier is essentially 2 AP cards merged, since DLR and WDW ticketing systems are independent. Some guests have had problems with initial visits to the “opposite” coast, requiring a trip to Guest Services or a ticket booth.

Some minor issues (all currently fixed)
  • AP discount does not scan, requiring long number to be manually entered or manager override
  • PhotoPass photos have watermark

No issues here, did have an issue with photopass, but a call resolved it.

Awesome - thanks for the replies! Some older posts were scaring me about the premier pass but sounds like they got the kinks worked out.
