I have seen the Premier Inn FT at Manchester for £32 per room. Am I likely to get it any cheaper or should I just book?

PI don't get much cheaper, usually £29 is their lowest rate. Travelodge £20.12 for same night (less 1% Quidco) but no idea what its like.
I think thats a Sunday night, if it is then Quidco pay £5% cashback for weekend stays, that would give you £1.60 back. http://www.quidco.com/premier-inn/

We are staying at the FT one too, we're also paying £32 not seen it any cheaper for our dates in May.

Remember to use quidco you get a little cash back :thumbsup2

Thanks! All booked and paid for now. Decided not to risk waiting for a sale. That's another task off my to-do-list.;) 2 rooms for £64 isn't bad at all.

That sounds like a great price. I hadn't considered staying at Gatwick the night before, thought we'd just set off early morning, but might go and have a look at PI now.

My flight is at 10.25, so we didn't have much choice. I would have driven up on the day if we had an afternoon flight.

From Manchester we only live a hour away so always go the morning of the flight but from London we are 3+ hours away, we have done it both ways and its far less stressful staying in a hotel the night before but I would never pay more than around £30/nt, more than that I would rather drive there early morning.
Once when flying to Los Angeles we drove down the same morning and missed the flight but apart from that no problems.

It would be about 2.5 hours for us but I know I would be super-stressed driving up and we'd have to leave at about 4am - not sure how the kids would cope with that!

Have just booked PI for £39 (inc free parking), Travelodge cheaper at £32 (inc parking) but would rather pay the extra.

Had intended to get up at 5am, but looking forward to a few extra hours sleep now

Booked there for Aug at £29 +5% quidco. Better reviews than the Travelodge. (more comfy beds).

I've stayed at a couple of Premier Inns and thought they were good for the price.

Stayed in quite a few PI & Travelodges.
PI never a problem, good standard for the money.
TL hit & miss, some better than PI others you wouldn't want to spend more than 1 night in, like the one near Heathrow last Oct but we paid less than £30 every other in the area wanted £80+.
For 1 night before a holiday it would be whichever is cheapest for me.

No Problems:happytv::cool1::banana: I class missing the flight as a big problem:rotfl: You make me laugh wayne.:cloud9:

Do you have to pay for the later flights if you miss the plane?

We didn't, not sure if thats the norn. We got there just at cut off, 1 hour to flying but I still had to park the car so they would not let us check in, there were about 6 men in suits on stand-by more than happy to pay silly prices for our seats so VA will have no doubt made a fortune out of 3 of them. they just transferred us to the afternoon flight.

That's pretty good then - everybody wins (apart from the men in suits ;)
