I booked our vac for May and was told the prem sites were 1500 to 1900 block. My husband seems to remember there is no shade in that block. Does anyone know? Also, I saw a thread out here that that block was prefered not premium. Anyone know the difference? Thanks!

I am not aware that any of those are preferred. The only preferred I know about are loops 100-300. I think the 'only' reason Disney did not convert these to premium is because of size. They are 'mostly' all smaller than the premium sites.

Am not familiar with the sites you mentioned (shady or not) as we always stay in 100 (when possible). The smaller size does not bother us, our 34' mh fits fine.

I believe 1500-1900 are called "full" and offer the same facilities as the "preferred" in 100-300. The "premium" are 400-1400 and offer more concrete and no "sand box". All of these sites offer full utilities (2000 does not). I can't say for sure about the shade in the 1500-1900 loops, but I seem to recall there is at least partial shade in all loops, except part of 600, depending on the time of day and the time of year.

Tippy,

You're husband is mostly correct.

Actually loop 1500 is a Tent/Partial hookup site but loops 1600-1900 are not Premiums but classified as "Full" campsites which are the same as Preferred campsites but Preferred sites are in a more requested location down by Trails End, the beach, and the boat transportation.

The 4 types of sites are Tent, Full, Preferred, and Premium. The first three have a sand pad and a concrete driveway 12' wide. Tent sites don't have a sewer hookup whereas the other two do. Premiums have all hookups and are 18' wide paved with no sand pad.

The Full sites 1600-1900 are pretty well shaded with tall trees providing cover. The Preferred loops 100-300 are a mix. I would say 100 is pretty open but some trees whereas 200-300 are shaded. In the Premiums, 1400 has about half the sites unshaded and 600 has most unshaded. The rest all have cover.
