I am going to WDW next week :cool1: and I will be 13.5 weeks pregnant. Soarin' is not on the list of rides to avoid while pregnant but I'm still not sure.

Has anyone here ridden while pregnant???

Thanks in advance!!! :goodvibes

I've never been pregnant (my DD is adopted)...but I've ridden Soarin' many, many times..I cannot imagine it having any impact whatsoever on a pregnancy...it's not fast, it's not bumpy...it's a joyous, gentle ride that is exhilarating in the same way as standing on the edge of the grand canyon would be.

My wife rode Soarin twice last fall at DW. She was around 6 months pregnant. She did not have any problems.

While I haven't ridden it pregnant, if I was pregnant I would ride it. There was nothing rough about it at all.

I rode Soarin when I was 3 1/2 mos pregnant. Nothing wrong here! Have fun!:yay:

Yes, at about 23 weeks with no problems. However, I don't know if I could have done it at 13.5 weeks just because I was still feeling sick so often. As long as you don't think it will make you feel nauseated you should be okay, but check with your midwife or dr if it will make you feel better.

Congratulations!!! :woohoo:

Yes. It is probably one of the tamest rides at WDW. Rode it during all various stages of pregnancy.

Congratulations. :thumbsup2

When we where at WDW in 2005, my wife rode Soarin', Rock'N'Rollercoaster and Tower Of Terror before we realised she was pregnant. Soarin' isn't exactly a 'throw you around' kind of ride so I think you will be fine. Just relax and enjoy yourself.

i rode when i was 7 months preggers.
basically you sit there buckled up. and it gently lifts you up.
no bumps, twists or turns. it's actually very calming.

My girlfriend that came with on our last trip rode it just fine at 23 weeks. And my SIL that came with on our prior trip rode it just fine at 28 weeks. Nothing dangerous about it..

I did - but I only found out I was pregnant on our last trip - but I was hoping I would be so I took all precautions my OB suggested for the whole trip. I went on it several times I might add it was very smooth - much smoother than other rides that were allowed.

You could ride Soarin while in labor. It is not a thrill ride. You are raised at the beginning and lowered at the end...but otherwise, you just sit there.

I'm a total wuss this time around and I'm lucky I'm leaving the house with this pregnancy. That said, I would definitely ride Soarin. I would actually LOVE to ride Soarin right about now... so relaxing.

If you still have nausea from pregnancy I would skip it if not go ahead and enjoy!

And Congradulations!

I rode soarin at 14 weeks pregnant....big mistake! I walked off that ride dry heaving so bad that I looked like a cat hacking up a hairball.

I have borderline hypernemesis when I'm pregnant though. As long as she's not dealing with nasuea she should be just fine. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the input everyone!!! I have actually ridden Soarin' before - the rise up (to see the screen) and the drop down at the end were my concerns.

However I am still having some pretty bad morning sickness from time to time so maybe I should pass. I would hate to get sick and affect the rest of the day. :guilty:

Congratulations!!
I rode Soarin this past Aug. while I was 21 weeks pregnant. I had no issues at all.

I to rode while pregnant with no problems whatsoever. I was 4.5 months at the time, and it gave me no problems, have fun and congrats!
