Just found out I am pregnant :cheer2: and want to tell DH and DD on our trip to WDW in 9 days. It is his first (DD is from previous relationship) and she has wanted to be a big sister since she could walk. Anyone have any cute idea's?

when we went I got a pair of baby mickey ear's (they come in pink and blue and say "my first ear hat") I had the back embossed to say Baby Tait (our last name) my DH already knew but it was fun to show the extended family.

BTW, Congrats on your new addition!

we did it over dinner..
right then ds put his order in for a little girl LOL

i told my husband by emailing to his iphone pix of 6 pregnancy tests :P

OK, this might sound CORNY, but I'd wait for a castmember to ask "What are you celebrating this year" (I have a feeling at some point they're gonna ask you...they ask me everytime I call about a room question, dining reservations, etc.). You might say, something like, "We're going to be celebrating a new baby this year"

Or even better, you might set up a Photopass photographer to ask you at just the right moment and get their reaction on film :goodvibes

Oooh, this was always so fun for me, whenever I got pregnant!

Let's see, ideas for Disney:

* Head for a ride that you know has a "don't ride if you're pregnant" sign, then say, "Oops, I can't ride this one."

* Talk to a CM and get a character to matter-of-factly turn to your hubby and ask, "So, when's your baby due?"

* Get a Disney baby pacifier and when he's not looking, drop it in his Dole Whip, like when an engagement ring is dropped in champagne! :rotfl:

It would be so great to have the moment on film. It would be even better if you could get them to take several shots in a row to really capture their expressions. Congratulations!

congrats on the big news. I like the ideas of the ears and the one with the "what are you celebrating this year"
with the ears you can have then print new daddy in blue and big sister in pink then have them open them together. Just need to find a way to distract them while you have the ears made.
PLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEase let us know how it works. Cant wait to hear all about it.

Oh, one more, What about ordering a cake that says "baby (add your last name) comming this fall or something like that and have it delivered at dinner.

I didn't announce it disneyesque---but with a yankee theme ,even though I am a diehard Red Sox fan. In a moment of insanity-I married the enemy ; )

Anyway, I got a Jeter onesie, wrapped it and let dh open it. It took a moment for it to sink in since he was happy about getting a yankee jersey and then he figured out that it was too small for him!

so,,,you could do it with any apparel or ears.

(If you do it a dinner, give the CM a heads up-they might be able to get someone to film it, even if it is just another guest!

You could go to the Christmas shop at MK or DTD an buy a babys 1st christmas ornament give it to DD an DH an be able to take your own pic yourself. That's something special that you won't have to much trouble storing as you can put it in with your other ornaments

This is what I was going to suggest too! I think planning a special dinner and ordering a cake that only YOU know about and asking the staff to keep it secret would be a great idea! Maybe have it say congrats to your husband and daughter specifically? I know you'll be a new mom too, but if you're wanting to make it really special for them, or have it say congrats to the new addition of your family. HOW SWEET!

I like the mickey ears idea where you get one for each of you AND the baby! Have everyone pit them on right before a picture in front of the Castle;)

Or... Go into a store and ask your DH or DD to pick out a baby outfit for their new addition to the family because your EXPECTING:)

Congrats and have a great trip!

Id make a tshirt with the Disney Font & put maybe something like
"Big Dis-Sister to be" & for DH "Dis-Dad to be" & even make one for yourself & dont give it to them until the day you want them to wear it at the parks..it will be fun & you might get a few congrats from other guests;)

When my DH and I were expecting our first, we kept the news secret for a short amount of time. When we were finally ready to tell his dad, it just so coincided with his birthday. On his b-day cake, we had written "Happy Birthday Grandpa." He got the surprise right away. I notice you'll be celebrating you DD's birthday on your trip. What about breaking it to her that way.

However, if I were in your shoes, I would tell my DH before my DD. I'm not exactly sure why I feel that way, but I think he should know first.

I love the idea of the cake w/ writing. Your DD will think its her b-day cake & then Surprise! Or get a baby onesie & wrap it up & give it to her for her birthday. Tell her you got her exactly what she's wanted for her birthday. Make sure you have it captured on film. I did a scavenger hunt w/ DS#1. There is a company that will set it up for you through the park. PM me if you want the name or maybe someone else on here can post it. I need to look it up.

When I was pregnant with my first son, I found out about two weeks before my mother's birthday. It was her first grandchild.

To tell my mom, I sent her a big arrangement of pink and blue "baby" flowers for her birthday with a card that said "Happy Birthday, Grandma Toni. Baby O______ will be here on September 28."

We told our daughter after Wishes that we were expecting a baby. We told her that her wish to be a big sister is coming true. Oh, how I wish we had taped her reaction! It seemed to dawn on her slowly and she was just soo excited! As we walked down Main Street, she was telling everyone that walked by.

After we returned from Disney, we all found out together that I was having twins! She started telling people, "I didn't know Mommy already had a baby in her tummy and I wished for one so that's why we have twins."

All these other ideas are great too!
