Pregnant at Epcot

I am going to Epcot in a couple of weeks and I was reading the ride restrictions http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/rr.htm and it says that expectant mothers may want to skip this ride: Maelstrom. I have never been to Epcot before so I am not familier with this ride. Can anyone explain it to me? Why isn't it a strict restriction, it only says, "expectant mothers may wish to bypass the ride"? Thanks for your help!

It is a boat ride with a very short drop. Really nothing to be concern.

It is in Norway. It is a boat ride through Norway troll country. It has a small hill, the size of Pirates or smaller. I would think it would not be too bad for a pregnant lady.
