Pregnant at Disneyland

I'm sure that this has been posted many times, but I couldn't find everything I wanted to know in the searches. My husband and I plan on going to Disneyland this Halloween. Our tradition since getting married was to go every Christmas, but my doctor said no traveling at that time. I'll be 6 months pregnant when we go. My friend recently returned and she said it was a no-no for pregnant women on Toy Story Mania, Soarin' and Pirates. I searched the Disney website and didn't see that they weren't recommended. Has anyone been pregnant and gone on these rides or know whether they are allowed? I was really excited to go on Toy Story Mania. We haven't been to Disney since it opened. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't see anybody problem with you going on Pirates while pregnant. The drops are so minimal, you shouldn't have a problem. Soarin' is pretty smooth too. As long as you can get the seat belt around you, I'd think you'd be okay. I've heard that TSMM jerks around a lot. It may have too much motion for you.

Check out DL Ride Restrictions here: http://allears.net/dlr/tp/dlr_rr.htm

Did you get pregnant at Disneyland? ;) he he! I don't want to go on that ride! and so far, so good. he he!

Pirates is perfectly fine. I rode it on both of our trips to DL, and I was pregnant (different pregnancies) both times. My baby even rode on POTC. I'd be more concerned about it possibly being down for refurbishment lol. Soarin' seems like it would be okay too, but I don't have personal experience. I rode Indiana Jones on my first trip, and Space Mountain on my second one w/ the family, so I'm sure Soarin' would be fine.

Great question!
I'm curious as well.

heatherleigh, how far long were you when you rode Indy?
I really wanted to ride it again this time but I'm not sure if it's wise.

We were just there last month when I was 6 months pregnant. I did Pirates with no problem as well as Toy Story Mania mulitple times. TSM does spin you a little bit, so if motion is a problem, just be aware of that. I didn't do Soarin', but not because of the pregnancy (my kids are too short for it).

If your pregnancy is complication free, I'd say all 3 would be fine. If you have had any complications I would talk to your doctor first.

I would not go on Indy while pregnant. That ride jerks you around a lot. Is it really worth the risk?

I have nothing constructive or insightful to add to this thread but every time I scroll past it I always think it sounds like someone got pregnant at Disneyland! Kinda funny!

I've been preggers at DL as well as with my 2 month and then 3 month old babies. I rode Pirates no problem. I was just on TSMM (not preggers) and my first thought was how jerky it was. It was fun, but I wouldn't do it pregnant b/c I am weird like that. I would think Soarin is fine, but don't have personal experience on that. My friend went while visibly pregnant and the CM recommended that she not get on Peter Pan, so be prepared for anything.

The general rule is anything that doesn't have a height restriction is fine...
