Pregnant at Disney?

Hello everyone!!

I need some advice... My husband and I are going to Daytona Beach in May. I'll be 17 weeks pregnant. This is my first pregnancy. I desperately want to go to the Magic Kingdom but I'm not sure if there will be anything I can do while there. At 17 weeks do you think there are any rides that I will be able to go on? I've been to the Magic Kingdom many times and I know many of the rides are extremely tame. I plan to ask my Doctor her opinion next week, but I thought I'd ask around to see what others peoples opinions were on it.

Second, I've been to WDW at 30wks with a 2yo and done fine. As a matter of fact, I'm pregnant with #3 and I'll be 23 weeks when we go next month.

All the parks, not just MK can be easily done pregnant. MK has Pirates, Buzz, Jungle cruise, so many to name! Even the parades make it a nice day trip. Plus while you are there, go check out the baby care centers at each park. They are really great for after the baby comes.

One more thing. Walmart has maternity Disney shirts right now. Go pick up one for your trip.

I did WDW at 12w and DL at about 24w. At MK it's really only the mountains that I wouldn't do. Most other rides are fine.

My husband and I bought annual passes and then got pregnant on our first trip using them! We obviously decided to keep going and the first two trips I rode everything except Rockin Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror and Mission to Mars. I have heard from other women that they rode these up to four and five months of pregnancy but I was too worried. Some of the other rides are bumpy, but nothing that will hurt the baby, trust me, I asked my doctor! The baby is so well protected that the bumpy rides will not harm her, though the g forces on the rides I did not go on worried me. I never had a bad time going to Disney while being pregnant and I would never rule it out, though I wish we had more time to go to the Adventurers Club and go drinking around the world before the little one came! haha Good luck to you!

I forgot about Space Mountain, I did not do that one though I still went on Big Thunder Mountain

I went in September and was 22 weeks along. I did everything at MK except for the mountains.

You can still easily do the Haunted Mansion (my fav), peter pan, snowwhite, winnie the pooh, buzz lightyear, jungle cruise, pirates of the carribean, etc.
There is still a lot to do (parades, fireworks), etc.

Are you going to any other parks besides MK?

I went when I was 34 weeks and there was still SO much I could do. You'll have a great time congrats!

Thank you all! I don't think we'll be going to any other parks except the MK. Since we're actually going to Daytona Beach I don't think I can convince DH to drive to Orlando more then once. Maybe if I'm lucky though I can convince him to take me to the Disney Market Place one day.
