Pregnant and Water Parks?

I found a ride restrictions list for WDW and was surprised to see that nothing at the water parks was restricted for expectant moms. I'm trying to prepare my children for what I won't be able to do this August. I will be 4 months pregnant. They really want to go to the water parks. I'm not at all familiar with the water parks and what I will be able to do there. Any advice?

I went when I was 3 months pregnant. If I remember correctly the water slides had restrictions for pregnant women, people with back problems etc...
I think I just hung out in the lazy river and the wave pool as mostly everything else is a water slide. If your kids are young then the kiddie section is fine too. Hope this helps and Congratulations!!

We went to Blizzard Beach with our 12 year old nieces when I was 8 weeks pregnant. I believe almost all the slides had restrictions. If I remember correctly I did do teamboat springs because I had been on it before and thought it was fairly gentle but stayed off all the other slides. If I had been further along, I probably wouldn't have done that one slide either though. I wouldn't even recommend the wave pool at TL because I have gotten a few good kicks when the pool was fairly crowded and left the park with bruises. After that experience, I wouldn't want to risk having someone kick me in the stomach.

Like the pp said, if your kids are younger, then you could hang out with them in the kiddie area. Both TL and BB have a lazy river you could float around on (they provide innertubes) and there are places to sit everywhere so if you have a partner then you can relax with a good book while they play. Unfortunately I don't think their's a ton of fun things for expectant moms to do there, at least that is what I found.

hth, and congrats on the pending arrival!

Congratulations on your new expectancy!

Go to TL! It has sand, a lazy river and I am sure you can do Swimming with the Sharks. The wave pool will also be a good idea, pending that you don't go to high in (waves can carry you). You can do all the kiddle type rides with the little ones. Go early, find a nice shaded area and have a ball!
